Saturation of the R mode instability

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the saturation amplitude of stellar inertial oscillation modes in the WKB limit and analyzed their linear damping by bulk and shear viscosity, and the nonlinear coupling forces among these modes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Saturation of the R-mode Instability

TL;DR: In this paper, the saturation energy of stellar inertial oscillation modes in the WKB limit has been investigated and it has been shown that their saturation energy is extremely small, at least four orders of magnitude smaller than that found by previous investigators.

Hot, Rotating Disks in General Relativity: Collisionless Equilibrium Models

TL;DR: In this article, a relativistic version of Newtonian Kalnajs disks with net angular momentum in general relativity is presented. But the disks are analytic and are stable against ring formation for certain ranges of their velocity dispersion.
