Journal ArticleDOI

Application of the lattice Boltzmann method for solving the energy equation of a 2-D transient conduction–radiation problem

TL;DR: In this paper, a lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is used to solve the energy equation in a test problem involving thermal radiation and to investigate the suitability of scalar diffusion LBM for a new class of problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transient Conduction-Radiation Heat Transfer in Participating Media Using the Lattice Boltzmann Method and the Discrete Transfer Method

TL;DR: In this paper, the lattice Boltzmann method was used to solve the energy equation of a problem involving conduction and radiation heat transfer with and without heat generation in a 1D planar conducting and radiating medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interference effect of two equal-sized square cylinders in tandem arrangement: With planar shear flow

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of L/d ratio and the shear parameter has been studied for flow past two equal-sized square cylinders in tandem arrangement subjected to incoming planar shear flow.
Journal ArticleDOI

Onset of vortex shedding in planar shear flow past a square cylinder

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of shear on the onset of periodic time dependent flow is observed using time varying lift coefficient, and the mean drag coefficient decreases either with increasing shear for a particular Reynolds number or with increasing Reynolds number for a specific shear parameter.
