Toward Open Access: it takes a village
Ada Emmett,John M. Stratton,A. Townsend Peterson,Jennifer Church-Duran,Lorraine J. Haricombe +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an analysis of one university's 10-year evolution to an open access policy focusing primarily on its advocates' lessons learned and the library's role in order to add the perspective of a public institution's experience.
Journal ArticleDOI
Late Pleistocene potential distribution of the North African sengi or elephant-shrew Elephantulus rozeti (Mammalia: Macroscelidea)
TL;DR: This work used ecological niche modelling based on current climatic datasets and known occurrence points to develop models of present-day potential distributions of E. rozeti and related taxa and indicates that distributional patterns and ecological characteristics are consistent with a more recent, post-Pleistocene vicariance across an increasingly arid Sahara.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bird conservation and biodiversity research in Mexico: status and priorities
TL;DR: Peterson et al. as mentioned in this paper, A. T. and Navarro-Siguenza, A. G. (2016), Bird conservation and biodiversity research in Mexico: status and priorities, which has been published in final form at doi:10.1111/jofo.12146.
Ecological niche modeling as a new paradigm for large-scale investigations of diversity and distribution of birds
TL;DR: A new set of methodologies focus on modeling the dimensions of species’ ecological niches, and offer considerably improved analytical and predictive possibilities, and several possible applications of this new approach are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
