Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular docking, PASS analysis, bioactivity score prediction, synthesis, characterization and biological activity evaluation of a functionalized 2-butanone thiosemicarbazone ligand and its complexes.
Tahmeena Khan,Shalini Dixit,Rumana Ahmad,Saman Raza,Iqbal Azad,Seema Joshi,Abdul Rahman Khan +6 more
TL;DR: complexation with metal ions significantly increased the cytotoxicity of the ligand against the tested cell lines viz.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computer-aided drug design and virtual screening of targeted combinatorial libraries of mixed-ligand transition metal complexes of 2-butanone thiosemicarbazone.
TL;DR: In silico evaluation of 32 virtually designed transition metal complexes of 2-butanone thiosemicarbazone and N,S,O containing donor hetero-ligands, all complexes displayed drug-like character and were predicted to have no apparent toxic side-effects.
Journal Article
Anticancer and Antioxidant activity of Zingiber officinale Roscoe rhizome.
Jamal Akhtar Ansari,Mohammad Kaleem Ahmad,Abdul Rahman Khan,Nishat Fatima,Homa Jilani Khan,Namrata Rastogi,Durga Prasad Mishra,Abbas Ali Mahdi +7 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrated that ZOME inhibited the proliferation and colony formation in HeLa and MDA-MB-231 cells, in a dose- and time-dependent manner and induced typical changes in nuclear morphology, chromatin condensation and fragmentation, membrane shrinkage and blebbing in both cells indicated apoptotic property of Z. officinale.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of pyrrole-2,3-dicarboxylate derivatives: Synthesis, DFT analysis, molecular docking, virtual screening and in vitro anti-hepatic cancer study
Iqbal Azad,Asif Jafri,Tahmeena Khan,Yusuf Akhter,Arshad,Firoj Hassan,Naseem Ahmad,Abdul Rahman Khan,Malik Nasibullah +8 more
TL;DR: Pyrrole-2,3-dicarboxylate derivatives synthesized in this study significantly inhibited the growth of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner and may be proven to be novel therapeutic candidates to cure cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
ROS mediated pro-apoptotic effects of Tinospora cordifolia on breast cancer cells
Jamal Akhtar Ansari,Namrata Rastogi,Mohammad Kaleem Ahmad,Abbas Ali Mahdi,Abdul Rahman Khan,Ravi Thakur,Vikas Kumar Srivastava,Durga Prasad Mishra,Nishat Fatima,Homa Jilani Khan,Mohammad Waseem +10 more
TL;DR: Anti-proliferative activity of chloroform fraction of Tinospora cordifolia (TcCF), an Ayurvedic medicinal plant, on breast cancer cells is reported and data show TcCF is a promising anti-cancer agent against Breast cancer cells.
