Formation and Structure of Self-Assembled Monolayers.
TL;DR: Monolayers of alkanethiolates on gold are probably the most studied SAMs to date and offer the needed design flexibility, both at the individual molecular and at the material levels, and offer a vehicle for investigation of specific interactions at interfaces, and of the effect of increasing molecular complexity on the structure and stability of two-dimensional assemblies.
Book
An Introduction to Ultrathin Organic Films: From Langmuir--Blodgett to Self--Assembly
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a model of self-assembled monolayers for the analysis of surface properties of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) and Self-Assembled Monolayers (SA) films.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and binding of alkanethiolates on gold and silver surfaces: implications for self-assembled monolayers
TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed ab initio geometry optimization of HS and CH 3 S on cluster models of Au(111), Au(100), Ag(111, and Ag(100) surfaces, at the RECP Hartree-Fock+electron correlation (MBPT2) level.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ansil Dyal,Katja Loos,Mayumi Noto,Seung W. Chang,Chiara Spagnoli,Kurikka V.P.M. Shafi,Abraham Ulman,Mary K. Cowman,Richard A. Gross +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the stability and enzymatic activity of Candida rugosa Lipase (E.C.1.3) immobilized on γ-Fe2O3 magnetic nanoparticles were reported.
