Application on thecaring behavior of nursing students is influenced by various factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of individual, psychological, and organizational factors on the caring behavior of nursing students in internship program. Design used in this study was descriptive analytic with cross-sectional approach. The population was Regular Nursing Students of Internship Program in Faculty of Nursing Airlangga University. The total sample was 26 respondents, taken according to inclusion criteria. The independent variables in this study: GPA, personality, motivation, and workload. The dependent variable was caring behavior. Data were collected by using modified questionnaires for independent variables and observation checklist for caring behavior, modified of Middle Range of Caring Theory Swanson. Data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression bylevel of significance p <0.05. The result showed that caring behavior was influence by GPA (p=0.003), extraversion (p=0.045), conscientiousness (p=0.005), need for achievement (p=0.008), need for affiliation (p=0.007), need for power (p=0.012), and workload (p=0.001). Workload was the most dominant factors that influence caring behavior in nursing students. Initial recognition intervention is needed to introduce students with internship situation. Empowers faculty member to excel as clinical educator on this stage will helpful for student.

TL;DR: The religious relaxation therapy gives positive effects in improving the sleep quality for patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo haemodialysis treatment, and is proven to have a positive effect on sleep quality.
Abstract: Objective: It is discovered that approximately 80% patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing haemodialysis treatment experience a difficulty to sleep. Such issue could decrease the patients’ living quality. The relaxation therapy using spiritual approach based on the patients’ religion to improve sleep quality has not been scientifically proven yet. This study aims to analyze the effect of religious relaxation therapy on patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing haemodialysis treatment. Materials and methods: The research was quasy experiment with prepost test control group design. The subjects of the research are the entire patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo haemodialysis treatment in the Islamic Hospital. The samples are taken from sixty clients recruited by random sampling allocation technique. Those clients aged 20-65 years old, Moslem and no complications. Patients’ sleeping quality is determined by The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Meanwhile, the data is analyzed by using Wilcoxon sign rank statistic test and Mann Whitney U test. Results and Discussion: The research showed that the religious relaxation therapy is proven to have a more improved good sleep quality (73.3 %) while the control group tends to be stagnant. The religious therapy is proven to have a positive effect on sleep quality by p = 0.000 Conclusion: The religious relaxation therapy gives positive effects in improving the sleep quality for patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo haemodialysis treatment. Method: The research method used was analytic observational with a cross-sectional design. This research recruited 70 clients from the population of the heart disease patients in three Islamic hospitals by using simple random sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The research showed that there were influences from the nursing and service factors towards Islamic caring with a value of t= 7.79; 2.06. There was influence from Islamic caring towards psycho-spiritual comfort with a value of t= 2.85. TL;DR: The model was statistically effective to improve nearly all aspects of patients’ compliance to TB treatment, except for abilities to cope with drug adverse effects, and future study is suggested to evaluate the impact of the KM nursing care model in bigger population.
Abstract: Introduction: Pulmonary tuberculosis remains prominent as one of public health problems in the world. Patients’ non-compliance to treatment is a significant contributor to drug resistance. This study aimed to develop and to test the efficacy of a nursing care model to prevent non-compliance. Methods: This study consisted of two phases: phase one, model development, used a descriptive analytic, and phase two, model testing, employed a quasi-experimental design. Participants, comprised both patients and nurses at two health care centres in Surabaya, were recruited by consecutive sampling. Data were collected by interview, self-administered-questionnaires, check-list and focused group discussion. Data analyses were performed using both partial least squares and Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: The model was statistically effective to improve nearly all aspects of patients’ compliance to TB treatment (knowledge, discipline in taking medications regularity of controls, and abilities to monitor the results of treatment with p < 0.05), except for abilities to cope with drug adverse effects (p = 1.000). This is possible because seldom do patients aware of the medication side effects, so their experiences were probably limited. Conclusion: This study concludes that the KM nursing care model was proven effective to improve patients’ adherence to treatment. Future study is suggested to evaluate the impact of the KM nursing care model in bigger population.

TL;DR: The results indicate that respondents are more focused on applying skills or carrying out a task than on caring behaviors which is about demonstrating compassion, loving kindness, and relationships.
Abstract: Nurse-patient interactions based on caring behaviors ensure better working conditions and better-quality healthcare. The aim of this quantitative study is to examine how nurses self-assess the frequency of applying caring behaviors in nurse-patient interactions and to identify the differences in the application frequency of caring behaviors in relation to work experience and education level. The respondents were Bachelor of Science (BSc) nurses and nurses with basic training (VET) employed in different clinical departments of the Clinical Hospital Center in Croatia. The survey used the "Caring Nurse-Patient Interactions Scale (Nurse Version)". The respondents assessed the caring behaviors from the subscale "needs" as the most frequently applied (median (Me): 4.7; interquartile range (IQR): 4.4-4.9), while the least frequently applied were the procedures from the subscale "sensitivity" (Me: 3.8; IQR: 3.2-4.3). The VET nurses reported applying caring behaviors to the subscales "hope" (p < 0.001), "problem-solving" (p = 0.003), and "environment" (p = 0.021) more frequently than BSc nurses did. Compared with less experienced respondents, the respondents with more than 30 years of work experience applied the caring behaviors on the subscales "sensitivity" (p = 0.009), "expression of emotions" (p = 0.001), "problem-solving" (p = 0.008), and especially "humanism" and "spirituality" (p < 0.001) more frequently. The results indicate that respondents are more focused on applying skills or carrying out a task than on caring behaviors which is about demonstrating compassion, loving kindness, and relationships.
