Telemedicine, as a new technical means and medical model, can truly realize the sharing and monitoring of telemedicine information, and ultimately ensure that everyone has equal access to medical and health resources. Based on the research on the status of telemedicine application and wireless communication technology, this paper proposes a multi-physical parameter wireless telemedicine health monitoring system solution, and analyzes the overall structure and functional requirements of the system. Human physiological parameters of the wireless remote medical system for health monitoring include body temperature, respiration, blood oxygen saturation, pulse, blood pressure, and electrocardiogram. In this paper, fabric electrodes are used to extract human bioimpedance signals, discrete Fourier transform algorithm is used to detect human respiratory signals, and respiratory rate is detected based on dynamic differential threshold peak detection technology. The reflection type photoelectric sensor is used to realize the reflection of the human pulse signal, and the continuous measurement of the cuff-free blood pressure based on the pulse wave conduction time is combined with the ECG (Electrocardiogram) data. A self-learning threshold algorithm based on near-infrared photo plethysmo graphy signal trough detection is designed on the reflective blood oxygen saturation calculation algorithm. The difference threshold method is used to extract the QRS band feature points. We tested the overall operation of the system. The results show that the collected human physiological signal data is accurate. After a series of tests, the validity and reliability of the collected physiological signals have been proven.

Health monitoring of human multiple physiological parameters based on wireless remote medical system

The Internet of Things (IoT) technology found many applications in the healthcare sector. Through the collection of vital data, IoT plays a crucial role are automating manual tasks and improving patient outcomes. This paper provides an overview of the impact and challenges of IoT architectures and applications in healthcare. The paper identifies the key benefits and key drivers behind the development of IoT-enabled healthcare systems. Then, we focus on security and privacy issues as real threats and obstacles facing the wide adoption of IoT in healthcare applications. Finally, we outline the key challenges and opportunities with specific reference to the unique requirements of healthcare applications.

IoT-Enabled Healthcare: Benefits, Issues and Challenges

The demand for a providing QoS adaptive routing over IoT networks is always a challenge among current research community. This research work KHAI proposes a framework for QoS-adaptive routing approach, which incorporates Krill Herd optimization model over IoT network. Variable QoS user preference and handling differential service types over a scalable IoT network shows that challenge for designing an adaptive QoS is a must. Research survey suggest that major works have been carried out on bandwidth appreciable services and route management approaches. Hence QoS adaptive user defined services, which adapt to variable service priority levels based on user demand and network resource utilization is proposed in this research work. The performance analysis of proposed approach shows an improved throughput of 97.51 Mbps and minimal packet loss of 37.29% over a session in comparison to traditional computational approaches. Considering large scale of interconnected IoT devices, proposed approach delivers near optimal solution of throughput and adaptive utilization of network resources.

An adaptive QoS supportive approach for user based services using Krill Herd Approach over Internet of Things (KHAI)

According to World Health Organization health is considered as "state of complete physical, psychological, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Healthy people are considered to be the heart of the nation’s growth. Household healthcare expenditure has been a subject of discourse in the field of Health Economics for quite some time now. This is due to the fact that healthcare expenditure has been on the increase globally and there is the need to determine the factors that influencing household healthcare expenditure. The specific objectives of the present study are to analyze the socio-economic and health expenditure characteristics of households in Kashipur block, to determine the factors that influencing healthcare expenditure of the households in Kashipur block. We have visited randomly selected three villages of Kashipur block in Purulia district, West Bengal and surveyed two hundred households. We have used some simple statistical tools and bar diagram for the pictorial exposition of the data. For statistical analysis of data we have used One-Way ANOVA and Tukey’s method as our post hoc test and multiple regression model. The findings of the study reveal that monthly average health expenditure differs across social category and major source of income of the households. The explanatory variables like monthly average family income, social category, household head’s education, number of members in a household above 60years, having at least one member who consume medicines during the whole year and mode of treatment are found to have significant impact on the household average monthly health expenditure. Some explanatory variables like at least one member in a households having Swasthya Sathi card or not, having livestock or not and number of meals a household consume per day becomes insignificant bur their coefficient has expected sign.

Determinants of Household Healthcare Expenditure: A Study in Purulia District, West Bengal

The present technology evolution of the traditional medical model toward the participatory medicine. It can boost the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm involving sensors (environmental, wearable and implanted) spread inside domestic environments with the purpose to monitor the user's health and activate remote assistance. IoT can build deployment on things which can make them interact with each other and provide efficient service. Technically IoT is useful in processing full information,and tracking of the viable things also save time and cost. Nevertheless, IoT is well-off in transforming the lives of patients to new medical advancements. Therefore, the usage of IoT in healthcare has increased sharply. Example one can get the information to access, control and maintain the smart objects through the internet. Hence this comprehensive review discusses some of the recent technology used in healthcare domain.
