Induced Resistance in Natural Ecosystems and Pathogen Population Biology: Exploiting Interactions
Journal ArticleDOI
Operationalising the concept of ecosystem collapse for conservation practice
Adrian C. Newton,Robert Britton,Kimberley Davies,Anita Diaz,Daniel J. Franklin,Roger J.H. Herbert,Ross A. Hill,Kathy H. Hodder,Georgia C. A. Jones,Amanda H. Korstjens,Annesia Lamb,Jack Olley,Adrian C. Pinder,Catherine Gutmann Roberts,Richard Stafford +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide an overview of different causes of ecosystem collapse, and then explore the implications of this understanding for conservation practice, by examining potential management responses, and explore the role of indicators for the early detection of collapse and for monitoring the effectiveness of management responses.

Assessing Effects of Crop History and Soil Amendments on Yields of Subsequent Crops
Adrian C. Newton,D. C. Guy +1 more
TL;DR: NDRE measurements in the restored rotation and soil amendment trials indicated that yield gains were associated with improved crop health as indicated by leaf chlorophyll content, and some diseases were reduced on restored rotation crops.
