Journal ArticleDOI

Point defects and luminescence centres in zinc oxide and zinc oxide doped with manganese

TL;DR: The green and yellow luminescence centres in ZnO and Mn-doped ZnOs are investigated in this article, and it seems that a VZn · V0 divacancy exists, and that luminecence is due to interstitial zinc and oxygen.
BookDOI

Luminescent materials and applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of the color conversion properties of LEDs and their application in light-emitting-fluoride (LED) devices, as well as a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of using LEDs without color conversion phosphors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of processing conditions on point defects and luminescence centers in ZnO

TL;DR: Positron lifetime spectroscopy and cathodoluminescence were employed to study luminescence centers in ZnO. as mentioned in this paper showed that as annealing temperatures and/or times increase, the average grain size increases and can reach 30 µm for samples sintered at 1,200 C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electroluminescence of the oxide thin film phosphors Zn2SiO4 and Y2SiO5

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Zn2SiO4:Mn as the phosphor layer and achieved a brightness of over 200 cd/m2 at 400 Hz and a field of 3×106 V/cm (twice the threshold field) with a maximum efficiency of 0.78 lm/W, with a decay time of
