Guidelines of Polish National Societies Diagnostics and Treatment of Thyroid Carcinoma. 2018 Update.

Barbara Jarząb, +62 more
TL;DR: The current Polish guidelines "Diagnostics and Treatment of Thyroid Carcinoma" have been formulated at the "Thyroid Cancer and Other Malignancies of Endocrine Glands" conference held in Wisła in November 2015.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic analysis of normal and neoplastic (WI-FTC) thyroid tissue.

TL;DR: Infrared spectroscopy, in addition to providing information on the composition of tested samples, can be an excellent diagnostic tool contributing to understanding the FTC substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metaplastic breast carcinomas - analysis of prognostic factors in a case series.

TL;DR: Recurrence and survival rates in relation to clinical and therapeutic factors are analyzed by using the Kaplan-Meier method and a significantly longer overall survival time was noted among patients treated with adjuvant radiation therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intratumoral expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) is a negative prognostic marker for patients with cutaneous melanoma.

TL;DR: It is suggested that intratumoral expression of COX-2 is a strong negative prognostic marker for patients with melanoma and a simple and objective immunohistochemical scoring algorithm involving the determination of only a percentage fraction of positively stained cells is sufficient to obtain the prognostic information.
Journal ArticleDOI

Different expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in selected nonmelanocytic human cutaneous lesions

TL;DR: Elevated expression of this protein may play a role in the development of SCC, as indicated by strong immunostaining both in SCCs and precancerous lesions, which may indicate a role of COX-2 in cancer malignancy.
