A new stag beetle species of the genus Gnaphaloryx Burmeister from Java, western Indonesia (Coleoptera: Lucanidae)

TL;DR: A new species, Gnaphaloryx rectus Yamamoto sp. nov as discussed by the authors , is described from West Java, western Indonesia. This new species can be easily distinguished from the known stag beetles in the large males as it possesses symmetrical and rather linear mandibles, very weakly developed cephalic horn, weakly produced canthi and narrower 2nd and 3rd costae on the elytra in comparison with the 1st one.
