Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of Schiff's bases of sulfamethoxazole

TL;DR: Some Schiff's bases containing sulfamethoxazole nucleus have been synthesized and characterized and the present compounds are hoped to be applied in the photostability of PVC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of new thiophene derivatives and their use as photostabilizers for rigid poly(vinyl chloride)

TL;DR: In this paper, five new thiophenes, namely, N-[(3-bromo-2-methylthiophen-5-yl)methylene]-4-methoxyaniline (4a), N-[n]-(3bromomodel-2.5]-methyleneamino]-2-isopropylquinazolin-4(3H)-one (4d), and 3-[n-[(bromodel)-2.2]-methylmethylnylon-methylnamide]-2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of transition metal complexes of 4-Amino-5-pyridyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol

TL;DR: A triazole ligand act as bidentate that coordination to the metal ions through sulphur and amine group and a tetrahedral geometry was suggested for these complexes except Cu (II) complexes which exhibit a square structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Morphology and Performance of Poly(Vinyl Chloride) Containing Melamine Schiff Bases against Ultraviolet Light.

TL;DR: Five Schiff bases derived from melamine have been used as efficient additives to reduce the process of photodegradation of poly(vinyl chloride) films and the polymeric surface was much smoother in the presence of the Schiff bases compared with the blank film.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Polyphosphates on the Physicochemical Properties of Poly (Vinyl Chloride) after Irradiation with Ultraviolet Light

TL;DR: Three new polyphosphates were synthesized in good yields by reacting diethylenetriamine with the appropriate phosphate ester in ethanol under acidic conditions, and their elemental compositions were confirmed by EDX spectroscopy.
