Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular docking simulation and anticancer assessment on human breast carcinoma cell line using novel bis(1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitrile) and bis(1,4-dihydropyrazolo[4',3':5,6]pyrano[2,3-b]pyridine-6-carbonitrile) derivatives.

TL;DR: An efficient route for the synthesis of novel bis(1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitrile) derivatives is reported and indicated the best binding mode compared to the standard ligand sorafenib.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization and antitumor activity of novel tetrapodal 1,4-dihydropyridines: p53 induction, cell cycle arrest and low damage effect on normal cells induced by genotoxic factor H2O2

TL;DR: Compound 5b has been found to reduce apoptosis of human normal melanocytes HFB4 and normal fibroblasts BHK that has been treated with genotoxic factor H2O2 and has a potent protective effect against DNA damage, as indicated by the in vitro studying of different concentrations of 5b against two different types of healthy DNA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave Assisted Green Multicomponent Synthesis of Novel bis(2‐Amino‐tetrahydro‐4H‐chromene‐3‐carbonitrile) Derivatives Using Chitosan as Eco‐friendly Basic Catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple, efficient, and eco-friendly procedure was developed for the synthesis of bis(4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile) derivatives using chitosan as catalyst under microwave-assisted reaction conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of poly(2,6-dimethyl-4-phenyl-1,4-dihydropyridinyl)arenes as novel multi-armed molecules

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of poly(2,6-dimethyl-4-phenyl-1,4-dihydropyridinyl)arenes were synthesized in good yields using a one-pot, acid-catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction of the appropriate poly(aldehydes) with 3-aminobut-2-enenitrile in acetic acid at reflux.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental and theoretical study on the regioselective bis- and polyalkylation of 2-mercaptonicotinonitrile and 2-mercaptopyrimidine-5-carbonitrile derivatives

TL;DR: In this paper, the utility of 2-mercaptonicotinonitriles 3 and 4, as well as poly(pyridines) via alkylation with the corresponding bis- and poy(halo) compounds was investigated.
