TL;DR: Oropharyngeal cancer was significantly associated with oral HPV type 16 (HPV-16) infection, and the degree of association increased with the number of vaginal-sex and oral-sex partners, among subjects with or without the established risk factors of tobacco and alcohol use.

TL;DR: The increased risk of oropharyngeal cancer among HPV16 E6 seropositive participants was independent of time between blood collection and diagnosis and was observed more than 10 years before diagnosis.

TL;DR: HPV16, a common anogenital infection, was rarely detected in oral specimens, however, a small but noteworthy proportion of healthy individuals have oral HPV infections with types known to cause cancer in the oral region.

TL;DR: Four years after vaccination of women who appeared to be uninfected, this nonrandomized analysis suggests that two doses of the HPV16/18 vaccine, and maybe even one dose, are as protective as three doses.

TL;DR: 4 years after vaccination of women aged 15-25 years, one and two doses of the HPV- 16/18 vaccine seem to protect against cervical HPV-16/18 infections, similar to the protection provided by the three-dose schedule.
