TL;DR: The application is developed to trigger the tests for checking the performance of GNSS hardware by taking the inputs from the user and to populate the location data results in tabular view dynamically, to pinpoint the obtained locations in a Map and also to populateThe obtained SNR values in a bar-chart.
Abstract: This paper is for understanding the GNSS System architecture, test procedure for GNSS and developing an application to control the GNSS hardware. GNSS (Global Navigation Satelite System) refers to a constellation of satelites providing signals from space transmitting positioning data encoded in the form of signals. There are six major constellations currently available in as per GNSS technology. These are GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BIEDOU, NAVIK and QZSS. To simulate these constellations, we can use Roof Antenna which provides desired radio frequency. The entire performance of GNSS product depends on Signal to Noise ratio and TTFF (Time To First Fix). The application is developed to trigger the tests for checking the performance of GNSS hardware by taking the inputs from the user and to populate the location data results in tabular view dynamically, to pinpoint the obtained locations in a Map and also to populate the obtained SNR values in a bar-chart. GNSS Test Application is a tool to execute various test cases and check the reliability of GNSS product. This application is written in C++. Gnss Command Line executable is developed with new features like start positioning session, stop session and resetting the GNSS Hardware. This CLI is written in C++.
