Snow optical properties at Dome C (Concordia), Antarctica; implications for snow emissions and snow chemistry of reactive nitrogen

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the e-folding depth, nadir reflectivity and stratigraphy of the snowpack around Concordia station (Dome C, 75.10° S, 123.31° E) to determine wavelength dependent coefficients (350 nm to 550 nm) for light scattering and absorption and to calculate potential fluxes (depthintegrated production rates) of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) from the snow-pack due to nitrate photolysis within the snow.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Fields of View and Directional Response Functions of Two Field Spectroradiometers

TL;DR: The area of measurement support and the spatial and spectral responsivity of an ASD Field Spec Pro FR spectroradiometer and a SVC GER 3700 spectroradometer have been determined by measuring the directional response function (DRF) of each instrument.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and photosynthetic dynamics mediate the response of SIF to water stress in a potato crop

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantify the relative effect of structural and photosynthetic dynamics on the diurnal and spatial variation of canopy SIF in a potato crop in response to a replicated paired-plot water stress experiment.

A dual-field-of-view spectrometer system for reflectance and fluorescence measurements (Piccolo Doppio) and correction of etaloning

TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-field-of-view spectrometer system for environmental monitoring from rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicles or for fixed deployment on masts at research sites has been developed.
