Journal ArticleDOI

Orbital mapping of energy bands and the truncated spin polarization in three-dimensional Rashba semiconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the physical origin of spin-polarization effects is a spin-orbit coupling induced hybridization between spin and multiple orbitals, especially those with nonzero orbital angular momenta.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the first principles Hartree—Fock and local density pseudopotentials

TL;DR: Angular momentum projected Hartree-Fock (HF) and local density functional (LDF) nonlocal atomic pseudopotentials were derived from first principles in this article, where Hartree and Fock were used as pseudopotential generators.
Journal ArticleDOI

E1, E2, and E0' transitions and pressure dependence in ordered Ga0.5In0.5P.

TL;DR: It is shown that upon superlattice ordering these transitions are altered dramatically---some states shift up in energy, some shift down, and new ``ordering-induced`` transitions, absent in the disordered phase, now become allowed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Disorder-Induced Weyl Semimetal Phase and Sequential Band Inversions in PbSe-SnSe Alloys.

TL;DR: In this paper, a topological description of the PbSe-SnSe alloy was used to investigate whether topological properties can be preserved, or are modified by disorder, using a fully-atomistic description of alloy.
