Spontaneous Raman spectroscopy of tungstate and molybdate crystals for Raman lasers

TL;DR: In this paper, spontaneous Raman spectra of tungstate (MeWO4) and molybdate (MeMoO4), with sheelite structure were investigated (Me=Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb).
Journal ArticleDOI

Raman spectroscopy of crystals for stimulated Raman scattering

TL;DR: In this paper, spontaneous Raman spectroscopy was used to measure Raman frequency shift, line width, integral and peak Raman scattering cross sections in various crystals using spontaneous Ramans.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcium niobium gallium and calcium lithium niobium gallium garnets doped with rare earth ions––effective laser media

TL;DR: In this article, the results of spectroscopy and laser action of disordered calcium niobium gallium (CNGG) and calcium lithium nibium nigerium gold (CLNGG)- garnets doped with Nd3+, Eu3+, Er3+, Ho3+ and Tm3+ were displayed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stimulated Raman scattering in alkaline-earth tungstate crystals

TL;DR: In this article, spontaneous Raman spectroscopy of alkaline-earth tungstate crystals was performed and the frequency of the modes active in stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) modes was found to increase and their width to decrease with increasing cation radius and mass.
Journal ArticleDOI

Disordered garnets Ca3(Nb, Ga)5O12:Nd3+- prospective crystals for powerful ultrashort-pulse generation.

TL;DR: Direct time-resolved measurements allow us to determine the positive linear chirp of the laser frequency, which causes the pulse spectral broadening of Δν = 50–60 cm−1 and the measured pulse duration is limited by the time resolution of the streak camera.
