TL;DR: In this paper, the virtual dwellings of the higher Altai mountains were proposed as a location for exposition of the body or sky burials, possibly in a funerary context. But no function or date has been defined for them, and they are known under very different names and dates.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the organization of archaeological sites in the Dzhazator valley and revealed a relationship between the monuments and petroglyphs in the Bronze Age, with a preference for the northern bank in the lower valley.

Mapping and Surveying the Archaeological Monuments of the Altai Mountains (Altai Republic)
TL;DR: In 2003-2005, Ghent University and Gorno-altaisk State University used Corona satellite imagery to produce reliable topographical maps for archaeological survey as discussed by the authors and tested different GPS devices for taking ground control points.
