Journal ArticleDOI

Association between ultrasound measurements of muscle thickness, pennation angle, echogenicity and skeletal muscle strength in the elderly

TL;DR: Measurement of muscle thickness, especially of musculus vastus medialis, by M-US is a reliable, bedside method for monitoring the extent of sarcopenia, and multiple regression analysis revealed that thickness ofmusculus vastu medialis had the best correlation with MVC in the elderly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of tricuspid regurgitation on survival in patients with chronic heart failure: unexpected findings of a long-term observational study

TL;DR: While TR was significantly related with excess mortality in mild to moderate CHF, it provided no additive value in advanced disease when compared with established risk factors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) transplantation: outcome after autologous RPE-choroid sheet and RPE cell-suspension in a randomised clinical study

TL;DR: The anatomical and functional outcome after both RPE transplantation techniques was comparable, and intrastructural irregularities of the sheet assessed using SD-OCT might explain the rather limited visual gain in otherwise successful sheet transplants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Survival of direct resin restorations in posterior teeth within a 19-year period (1996–2015): A meta-analysis of prospective studies

TL;DR: There is still a big need for clinical studies lasting longer than 5 years, as failure rates of composite restorations in posterior teeth increases with longer observation periods, which suggests a patient selection in regard to availability and dental awareness.
