Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and Magnetic Properties of Thin Permalloy Films Near the “Transcritical” State

TL;DR: In this article, a series of permalloy thin films were grown by dc-sputtering on Si (100) and glass substrates at room temperature and different argon pressure values using a Fe20 Ni80 target.
Journal ArticleDOI

Giant magnetoimpedance biosensor for ferrogel detection: Model system to evaluate properties of natural tissue

TL;DR: In this paper, a thin-film based magnetoimpedance (MI) sensor was used for quantitative determination of the concentration of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in ferrogels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transition from quasistatic to ferromagnetic resonance regime in giant magnetoimpedance

TL;DR: In this paper, detailed measurements of giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) in an amorphous ribbon and a magnetic/nonmagnetic multilayer are presented for frequencies up to 3GHz.
Journal ArticleDOI

GMI detection of magnetic-particle concentration in continuous flow

TL;DR: In this paper, a microfluidic device for the determination of the concentration of magnetic beads under continuous flow of the carrier fluid by means of the giant magneto-impedance effect (GMI) was described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Motor current signature analysis for gearbox condition monitoring under transient speeds using wavelet analysis and dual-level time synchronous averaging

TL;DR: In this article, two different strategies are evaluated, extensively tested and compared to analyze the motor current signature in order to implement a condition monitoring system for gearboxes in industrial machinery, and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of both methods for diagnosing gearbox faults.
