Journal ArticleDOI
Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse elastography for fibrosis evaluation in patients with chronic hepatitis C: an international multicenter study.
Ioan Sporea,Simona Bota,Markus Peck-Radosavljevic,Roxana Sirli,Hironori Tanaka,Hiroko Iijima,Radu Badea,Monica Lupsor,Carmen Fierbinteanu-Braticevici,Ana Petrisor,Hidetsugu Saito,Hirotoshi Ebinuma,Mireen Friedrich-Rust,Christoph Sarrazin,Hirokazu Takahashi,Naofumi Ono,Fabio Piscaglia,Alberto Borghi,Mirko D'Onofrio,A. Gallotti,Arnulf Ferlitsch,Alina Popescu,Mirela Danila +22 more
TL;DR: ARFI elastography is a reliable method for predicting fibrosis severity in chronic hepatitis C patients and TE was better than ARFI for predicting the presence of liver cirrhosis and fibrosis (F ≥ 1, METAVIR) (p=0.01).
Journal ArticleDOI
Acoustic radiation force impulse elastography as compared to transient elastography and liver biopsy in patients with chronic hepatopathies.
Ioan Sporea,Roxana Sirli,Alexandra Deleanu,Alina Popescu,Mircea Focsa,Mirela Danila,A. Tudora +6 more
TL;DR: At present, liver elasticity evaluation by means of ARFI is not superior to TE for the assessment of liver fibrosis, but is an accurate test for the diagnosis of cirrhosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intra- and Interoperator Reproducibility of Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) Elastography–Preliminary Results
TL;DR: This study assessed acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) reproducibility and the factors influencing it and found that the correlation of repeated ARFI measurements was higher, but not significantly so, in cases in which intraoperator Reproducibility was assessed compared with the ones in which interoperator reproducible was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Why, who and how should perform liver biopsy in chronic liver diseases.
TL;DR: Most authorities in the field consider that the LB is useful and necessary for the evaluation of chronic hepatopathies, despite the fact that it is not a perfect test.
Journal Article
Factors that influence the correlation of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI), elastography with liver fibrosis.
TL;DR: To obtain the best correlation between ARFI and fibrosis, IQR must be <30% and SR ≥ 60%.
