Limonoids: Overview of significant bioactive triterpenes distributed in plants kingdom
Amit Roy,Shailendra Saraf +1 more
TL;DR: Limonoids are highly oxygenated, modified terpenoids with a prototypical structure either containing or derived from a precursor with a 4,4,8-trimethyl-17-furanylsteroid skeleton and their occurrence in the plant kingdom is confined to only plant families of order Rutales.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Markers in Phylogenetic Studies-A Review
TL;DR: It appears that the use of molecular markers, though relatively recent in popularity and are not free entirely of flaws, can complement the traditional morphology based method for phylogenetic studies.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel eukaryotic factor for cytosolic Fe–S cluster assembly
TL;DR: A genetic screen to isolate Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains bearing mutations in genes required for the conversion of IRP1 to c‐aconitase led to the identification of a previously uncharacterized, essential gene, which is called CFD1 (cytosolic Fe–S cluster deficient).CFD1 encodes a highly conserved, putative P‐loop ATPase.

Tschirhart,Arkady Vainshtein,R. Van Kooten,Zhehui Wang,Albert Young,Albert Young +69 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an optimized search for oscillations using free neutrons from a slow neutron moderator could improve existing limits on the free oscillation probability by at least three orders of magnitude.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chromosomal aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges in individuals exposed to arsenic through drinking water in West Bengal, India
Julie Mahata,Arindam Basu,Sarbani Ghoshal,J.N. Sarkar,Amit Roy,G. Poddar,A.K. Nandy,Ansuman Banerjee,Kunal Ray,Adayapalam T. Natarajan,Robert Nilsson,Ashok K. Giri +11 more
TL;DR: The enhanced rates of CAs and SCEs among the residents of North 24 Parganas are indicative of the cytogenetic damage due to long term exposure to arsenic through consumption of contaminated water.
