TL;DR: In this article, the authors highlight the relevance of the factors that influence the satisfaction of e-commerce consumers in Romania and Moldova and propose a study to clearly define the main influence factors, so that marketing managers of the online stores can adopt scientific well-founded decisions.
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to highlight the relevance of the factors that influence the satisfaction of e-commerce consumers in Romania and Moldova. The study aims to clearly define the main influence factors, so that the marketing managers of the online stores can adopt scientific well-founded decisions.,The paper opted for a study including a large sample of 399 respondents from two countries. For the analysis of the factors influencing the e-commerce satisfaction, multiple linear regression analysis was implemented, and their differentiation within the two countries was highlighted by multivariate analysis of variance.,The research conducted and the results obtained show that there is a differentiation of the factors that influence the level of satisfaction of e-commerce users in Romania and Moldova.,The research is still limited in terms of population studied to only two countries: Romania and Moldova. Although the study is intended to be exhaustive by analyzing no less than 11 factors influencing the satisfaction generated by e-commerce, it is still limited to this group of representative factors. Another limitation has to do with the limited number of demographic variables the authors have included.,Based on the results, the managerial implications for e-commerce companies that want to uniquely address consumers in Romania and Moldova are related to the decisions of marketing and sales managers who must allocate budgets and resources to improve the eight aspects highlighted in the paper. Also, the e-commerce companies should not allocate resources for the implementation of functionalities such as in-app after sales services, the possibility to cancel an order or the live consultant support feature, because these aspects do not influence the satisfaction of e-commerce consumers in Romania and Moldova.,This paper is the first in the scientific literature that implements a comparative study on the influence factors regarding the e-commerce satisfaction in Romania and Moldova. Also, it is important to mention that the present study is an exhaustive one because it includes many influence factors that were analyzed separately in the previous research papers from literature review.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors characterize the production processes of textile SMEs in Cundinamarca, based on the use of Lean Manufacturing tools, and the results obtained suggest that SMEs strive to achieve operational excellence; however, there are great opportunities for improvement in terms of production, waste and quality control, which can be achieved through appropriate knowledge transfer.
Abstract: The aim of this research is to characterize the production processes of textile SMEs in Cundinamarca, based on the use of Lean Manufacturing tools. To select the companies to participate in the study, a non-probabilistic sample was applied for convenience, and only 31 were selected, who finally decided to participate in the study. These provided the necessary information to know their status, from the three fundamental pillars of Lean philosophy: Kaizen, Jidoka, and Just in Time. The information was collected by applying a 24-question instrument: the first 5 questions were general information about the companies and the remaining 19 were selection questions. A Likert scale was also used. The questionnaire was sent in an email, and Google form was used to tabulate the data. The results obtained suggest, on the basis of the 31 companies surveyed, that SMEs strive to achieve operational excellence; however, there are great opportunities for improvement in terms of production, waste and quality control, which can be achieved through appropriate knowledge transfer.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the role of rational culture in the relationship between lean manufacturing practices and operational productivity in the machinery and equipment industry and found that rational culture was a significant quasi-moderator.
Abstract: This paper aims to examine the role of rational culture in the relationship between lean manufacturing practices and operational productivity in the machinery and equipment industry.,This study uses a cross-sectional quantitative approach to conduct the research. Using an online survey questionnaire, 118 responses were collected. SPSS was used to assess validity, reliability and hypothesis testing of the study variables. Hierarchical regression analysis was employed to investigate the moderating effects of rational culture.,The study results reveal that quick setup and quality control were significantly related to operational productivity. Rational culture was a significant quasi-moderator.,This study highlights the importance of quick setup and quality control for machinery and equipment firms to gain higher operational productivity. Rational culture could be used to drive the firms toward greater achievements in this regard.,The use of rational culture as a quasi-moderator in the relationship between lean manufacturing practices and operational productivity is unprecedented. This study offers new findings by introducing the role of rational culture to enhance the effects of lean manufacturing practices on operational productivity.

TL;DR: In this article, a systematic review of the scientific literature between 2015 and 2019 was performed to investigate the trends of lean manufacturing at a national and international level through a systematic literature review.
EnglishThis paper describes the study trends of lean manufacturing at a national and international level through a systematic review of the scientific literature between 2015 and 2019. A total of 3776 research articles were retrieved from the main bibliographic databases. Metadata and VOSviewer were used to perform a bibliometric cluster analysis by topic and year. The results indicated that the database with the largest number of publications was Science Research. In addition, 36% of all the research articles retrieved were from Asian countries and they addressed efficiency of production processes and productivity. The present article provided an analysis of the implementation of the lean manufacturing philosophy and a summary of the tools used in companies in the food sector to generate inputs that promote productivity. A general framework is proposed that summarizes the trends in lean manufacturing from the literature review performed here.

TL;DR: In this paper , a methodology for implementing a process optimization approach with an efficient strategy has been reported for the first time that eliminates problems faced in shop floor management, including industry 4.0.
Abstract: In the present industry revolution, operations management teams emphasize implementing an efficient process optimization approach with a suitable strategy for achieving operational excellence on the shop floor. Process optimization is used to enhance productivity by eliminating idle activities and non-value-added activities within limited constraints. Various process optimization approaches are used in operations management on the shop floor, including lean manufacturing, smart manufacturing, kaizen, six sigma, total quality management, and computational intelligence. The present study investigates strategies used to implement the process optimization approach provided in the previous research to eliminate problems encountered in shop floor management. Furthermore, the authors suggest an idea to industry individuals, which is to understand the operational conditions faced in shop floor management. The novelty of the present study lies in the fact that a methodology for implementing a process optimization approach with an efficient strategy has been reported for the first time that eliminates problems faced in shop floor management, including industry 4.0. The authors of the present research strongly believe that this research will help researchers and operations management teams select an appropriate strategy and process optimization approach to improve operational performance on the shop floor within limited constraints.
