Synthesis, X-ray structure and thermal decomposition of lanthanum [dioxoisopropoxomolybdate] [La2Mo4O4(μ4-O)4(μ-OPri)8(Opri)6]

TL;DR: The mixed-metal hexanuclear complex La 2 Mo 4 O 4 (μ 4 -O) 4 ( μ -OPr i ) 8 (OPr I ) 6 (1) as mentioned in this paper was derived from the dioxomolybdenum species MoO 2 O 4, and it was shown that it can be decomposed either in solution in iso-propanol or on heating in vacuo to 90°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anodic oxidation of molybdenum and tungsten in alcohols: isolation and X-ray single-crystal study of side products

TL;DR: In this paper, the side products of the anodic dissolution of molybdenum and tungsten metals in alcohols in the presence of LiCl showed them to be [LiMo2O4(OPri)4(OC2H4OMe)] 1 in the case of MeOH and [ LiMo2OC4(OEt)5(EtOH)] 2 in EtOH.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, crystal and molecular structure of a new heterometallic oxo-2-methoxyethoxide, BaMo2O5(OC2H4OMe)4(HOC2H4OMe)

TL;DR: The colorless needle-shaped crystals of a new heterometallic 2-methoxyethoxide, BaMo2O5(OC2H4OMe)4(HOC 2H4 OMe) (1), have been obtained by the saturation of barium 2methoxideethoxide solution in 2mETHoxyethanol with the crystalline MoO2(OC4O5)2 as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular Precursor Role in the Synthesis of ZrMVI2O8, MVI = Mo, W: Isolation and Properties of Zr3Mo8O24(OiPr)12(iPrOH)4

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that ZrMo2O8O24(OiPr)12(iPrOH)4(II) can be recrystallized from hexane, but is destroyed by iPrOH which causes the formation of I Thermal decomposition of II in air at 800°C (2 h) gives a single phase ZrO2O 8O8(III)
Journal ArticleDOI

Solution stoichiometry control for pure LiLaMo2O8 phases in sol-gel preparation

TL;DR: In this article, LiMo2O4(OPri)5 (iPrOH) and iPrOH-3 (La(OPRI)3) were combined with water solutions in isopropanol, leading to the formation of monolythic gels, which can be converted by drying and heat treatment at 600°C into a fine powder of pure α-LiLaMo 2O8 phase.
