Journal ArticleDOI
Realization of a Type-II Nodal-Line Semimetal in Mg3Bi2
Tay-Rong Chang,Ivo Pletikosic,Tai Kong,Guang Bian,Angus Huang,Jonathan D. Denlinger,Satya Kushwaha,B. Sinkovic,Horny Tay Jeng,Horny Tay Jeng,Tonica Valla,Weiwei Xie,Robert J. Cava +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first-principles calculations show that Mg3Bi2 is a material candidate for the type-II nodal line in the Brillouin zone and the spin-orbit coupling generates only a small energy gap (≈35 meV) at the nodal points.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-layer dual germanene phases on Ag(111)
C.-H. Lin,C.-H. Lin,Angus Huang,Woei Wu Pai,Wei Chuan Chen,Ting-Yu Chen,Tay-Rong Chang,Ryu Yukawa,Cheng Maw Cheng,Chung-Yu Mou,Iwao Matsuda,Tai-Chang Chiang,Tai-Chang Chiang,Horng-Tay Jeng,Horng-Tay Jeng,Shu-Jung Tang +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, two distinct phases associated with germanene, the analog of graphene made of germanium (Ge) instead of carbon, can be grown on Ag(111) as observed by scanning tunneling microscopy, low-energy electron diffraction, and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.

Realization of a Type-II Nodal-Line Semimetal in Mg$_3$Bi$_2$
Tay-Rong Chang,Ivo Pletikosic,Tai Kong,Guang Bian,Angus Huang,Jonathan D. Denlinger,Satya Kushwaha,B. Sinkovic,Horng-Tay Jeng,Tonica Valla,Weiwei Xie,Robert J. Cava +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that Mg$_3$Bi$_2$ is a material candidate that hosts a single type-II nodal loop around the Fermi level and the two crossing bands have the same sign in their slopes along the radial direction of the loop, indicating the type II nature of the nodal line.

Single-layer Dual Germanene Phases on Ag(111)
Shu-Jung Tang,Chung-Huang Lin,Angus Huang,Woei Wu Pai,Wei-Chuang Chen,Tay-Rong Chang,Ryu Yukawa,Horng-Tay Cheng,Chung-Yu Mou,Iwao Matsuda,Tai-Chiang Chang +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, two distinct phases associated with germanene, the analog of graphene made of germanium (Ge) instead of carbon, can be grown on Ag(111) as observed by scanning tunneling microscopy, low-energy electron diffraction, and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic structure of a monoatomic Cu 2 Si layer on a Si(111) substrate
Mathis Cameau,Ryu Yukawa,C.-H. Chen,Angus Huang,Shota Ito,Ryota Ishibiki,K. Horiba,Y. Obata,Takahiro Kondo,Takahiro Kondo,Hiroshi Kumigashira,Horng-Tay Jeng,Horng-Tay Jeng,M. D'angelo,Iwao Matsuda +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation was used to investigate the changes in the electronic structure of an atomic layer when prepared on a substrate.
