miRNA551b-3p Activates an Oncostatin Signaling Module for the Progression of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
Deepak Parashar,Anjali Geethadevi,Miriam Ragle Aure,Jyotsna Mishra,Jasmine George,Changliang Chen,Manoj K. Mishra,Andliena Tahiri,Wei Zhao,Bindu Nair,Yiling Lu,Lingegowda S. Mangala,Cristian Rodriguez-Aguayo,Gabriel Lopez-Berestein,Amadou K.S. Camara,Mingyu Liang,Janet S. Rader,Ramani Ramchandran,Ming You,Anil K. Sood,Vessela N. Kristensen,Vessela N. Kristensen,Gordon B. Mills,Sunila Pradeep,Pradeep Chaluvally-Raghavan +24 more
TL;DR: This results demonstrate that miR551b-3p translocates to the nucleus with the aid of importin-8 (IPO8) and activates STAT3 transcription, and upregulates the expression of oncostatin M receptor (OSMR) and interleukin-31 receptor-α (IL-31RA) as well as their ligands OSM and IL-31 throughSTAT3 transcription.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interaction of tumor cells and astrocytes promotes breast cancer brain metastases through TGF-β2/ANGPTL4 axes.
Xianghui Gong,Zhimin Hou,Michael P. Endsley,Emily Gronseth,Kevin R. Rarick,Julie M. Jorns,Qiuhui Yang,Zhenggui Du,Zhenggui Du,Ke Yan,Michelle Bordas,Jill A. Gershan,Parashar Deepak,Anjali Geethadevi,Pradeep Chaluvally-Raghavan,Yubo Fan,David R. Harder,Ramani Ramchandran,Ling Wang +18 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that the invading TNBC cells interact with astrocytes in the brain microenvironment that facilitates brain metastases of T NBC cells through a TGF-β2/ANGPTL4 axis.
Journal ArticleDOI
ERBB3-induced furin promotes the progression and metastasis of ovarian cancer via the IGF1R/STAT3 signaling axis.
Changliang Chen,Prachi Gupta,Deepak Parashar,Gopakumar Gopinathan Nair,Jasmine George,Anjali Geethadevi,Wei Wang,Shirng-Wern Tsaih,William H. Bradley,Ramani Ramchandran,Janet S. Rader,Pradeep Chaluvally-Raghavan,Sunila Pradeep +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that furin activates the IGF1R/STAT3 signaling axis in ovarian cancer cells and reduced tumor cell migration and invasion in vitro and tumor growth and metastasis in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Betaine accumulation suppresses the de-novo synthesis of ectoine at a low osmotic concentration in Halomonas sp SBS 10, a bacterium with broad salinity tolerance.
Bijayendra Kushwaha,Indrani Jadhav,H. N. Verma,Anjali Geethadevi,Deepak Parashar,Kapilesh Jadhav +5 more
TL;DR: Results obtained from HPLC analysis showed that the betaine accumulation suppresses the de-novo synthesis of ectoine partially at low NaCl concentration in the growth medium, however, at a highNaCl concentration, the ectoine concentration increases abruptly as compared to the bet Kaine, indicating that the ectPierre accumulation is transcriptionally up-regulated by the salinity stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peritoneal Spread of Ovarian Cancer harbors Therapeutic Vulnerabilities Regulated by FOXM1 and EGFR/ERBB2 Signaling
Deepak Parashar,Bindu Nair,Anjali Geethadevi,Jasmine George,Ajay Nair,Shirng Wern Tsaih,Ishaque P. Kadamberi,Gopa Kumar Gopinadhan Nair,Yiling Lu,Ramani Ramchandran,Denise Uyar,Janet S. Rader,Prahlad T. Ram,Gordon B. Mills,Sunila Pradeep,Pradeep Chaluvally-Raghavan +15 more
TL;DR: Results demonstrate that FOXM1 and EGFR/ERBB2 pathways are key points of vulnerability for therapy to disrupt peritoneal spread and adhesion of ovarian cancer cells.
