Journal ArticleDOI
Destruction of aflatoxins in peanuts during dry and oil roasting
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved objective fluorodensitometric determination of aflatoxins in cottonseed products.
TL;DR: Modifications in the extraction solvent, lead acetate, and silica gel extract purification steps, and the TLC development conditions of the aqueous acetone procedure of Pons et al. provides an improved method with essentially quantitative recovery of aflatoxins added to typical cottonseed materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
High pressure liquid chromatographic determination of aflatoxins in peanut products.
Walter A Pons,Anthony O Franz +1 more
TL;DR: A precise and sensitive high pressure liquid chromatographic method is proposed for determining aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, and G2 in all types of peanut products.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elaboration of aflatoxin on cottonseed products byAspergillus flavus
TL;DR: In controlled laboratory experiments heat sterilized and unautoclaved glanded and glandless whole cottonseed or decorticated kernels and sterilized cottonseed meals were found to be utilized as substrates by an aflatoxin elaborating strain of A. flavus with the production of high levels of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 as discussed by the authors.
