Simple X-Ray Dark- and Bright-Field Imaging Using Achromatic Laue Optics
Masami Ando,Masami Ando,Anton Maksimenko,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Wanwisa Pattanasiriwisawa,Kazuyuki Hyodo,Kazuyuki Hyodo,Chikao Uyama +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a Bragg-case asymmetric monochromator that produces an X-ray beam with a 0.3 µrad divergence incident onto an object and a Laue geometry analyzer that can simultaneously provide dark-field imaging (DFI) and bright-field image (BFI).
Journal ArticleDOI
Computed tomographic reconstruction based on x-ray refraction contrast
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a new mathematical algorithm and software for computed tomographic (CT) reconstruction based on refraction contrast, which provides information on the deflection of the x-ray beam when penetrating through the object.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-ray optics 'Owl' and 'Trinity'
Masami Ando,Masami Ando,Kazuyuki Hyodo,Kazuyuki Hyodo,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Anton Maksimenko,Wanwisa Pattanasiriwisawa,Koichi Mori,Joseph B. Roberson,Edward Rubenstein,Yoshihisa Tanaka,Jy Chen,Dingchang Xian,Xiao W. Zhang,冼鼎昌,冼鼎昌 +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report an X-ray optical system "Owl" capable of dark-field imaging, which consists of a Bragg case asymmetric monochromator, a collimator and an analyzer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Attempt at Visualizing Breast Cancer with X-ray Dark Field Imaging
Masami Ando,Katsuhito Yamasaki,Fukai Toyofuku,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Chiho Ohbayashi,Gang Li,Lin Pan,Xiaoming Jiang,Wanwisa Pattanasiriwisawa,Daisuke Shimao,Eiko Hashimoto,Tatsuro Kimura,Masazumi Tsuneyoshi,Ei Ueno,Kenji Tokumori,Anton Maksimenko,Yoshiharu Higashida,Masatsugu Hirano +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 2.8-mm-thick breast cancer pathological specimen was computed using a Bragg asymmetric-cut monochro-collimator and a Si 440 Laue diffraction analyzer at 35 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
A New Optics for Dark-Field Imaging in X-Ray Region `Owl'
Masami Ando,Hiroshi Sugiyama,Anton Maksimenko,Wanwisa Pattanasiriwisawa,Kazuyuki Hyodo,Zhang +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an X-ray collimator and an analyzer were used for dark-field imaging of boron fibers. But they used only the refracted component from a sample S which was located between C and A, while eliminating the straight component without reacting with it.
