TL;DR: A copula-based approach aiming to express the dynamic mutual information for past and residual bivariate lifetimes in an alternative way is developed, which provides some bounds and investigates the mutual information of residual lifetimes within the time-transformed exponential model.
Abstract: We consider dynamic versions of the mutual information of lifetime distributions, with focus on past lifetimes, residual lifetimes and mixed lifetimes evaluated at different instants. This allows to study multicomponent systems, by measuring the dependence in conditional lifetimes of two components having possibly different ages. We provide some bounds, and investigate the mutual information of residual lifetimes within the time-transformed exponential model (under both the assumptions of unbounded and truncated lifetimes). Moreover, with reference to the order statistics of a random sample, we evaluate explicitly the mutual information between the minimum and the maximum, conditional on inspection at different times, and show that it is distribution-free. Finally, we develop a copula-based approach aiming to express the dynamic mutual information for past and residual bivariate lifetimes in an alternative way.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method yielding simple relationships among bilateral birth-and-death processes is outlined, which allows one to relate birth and death rates of two processes in such a way that their transition probabilities, first-passage-time densities and ultimate crossing probabilities are mutually related by some product-form expressions.

TL;DR: A Stein-type model based on a suitable exponential transformation of a bilateral birth-death process on Z and characterized by state-dependent nonlinear birth and death rates is proposed and some results on the firing density are obtained.
Abstract: A stochastic model for the firing activity of a neuronal unit has been recently proposed in [4]. It includes the decay effect of the membrane potential in the absence of stimuli, and the occurrence of excitatory inputs driven by a Poisson process. In order to add the effects of inhibitory stimuli, we now propose a Stein-type model based on a suitable exponential transformation of a bilateral birth-death process on ${\mathbb Z}$ and characterized by state-dependent nonlinear birth and death rates. We perform an analysis of the probability distribution of the stochastic process describing the membrane potential and make use of a simulation-based approach to obtain some results on the firing density.

TL;DR: The table of integrals series and products is universally compatible with any devices to read and is available in the book collection an online access to it is set as public so you can get it instantly.
Abstract: Thank you very much for downloading table of integrals series and products. Maybe you have knowledge that, people have look hundreds times for their chosen books like this table of integrals series and products, but end up in harmful downloads. Rather than reading a good book with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, instead they cope with some harmful virus inside their laptop. table of integrals series and products is available in our book collection an online access to it is set as public so you can get it instantly. Our book servers saves in multiple locations, allowing you to get the most less latency time to download any of our books like this one. Merely said, the table of integrals series and products is universally compatible with any devices to read.
