Journal ArticleDOI
Catheter ablation vs. antiarrhythmic drug treatment of persistent atrial fibrillation: a multicentre, randomized, controlled trial (SARA study)
Lluís Mont,Felipe Bisbal,Antonio Hernández-Madrid,Nicasio Pérez-Castellano,Xavier Viñolas,Angel Arenal,Fernando Arribas,Ignacio Fernández-Lozano,Andrés Bodegas,Albert Cobos,Roberto Matía,Julián Pérez-Villacastín,Jose M. Guerra,Pablo Ávila,María López-Gil,Victor Castro,José Arana,Josep Brugada +17 more
TL;DR: Catheter ablation is superior to medical therapy for the maintenance of sinus rhythm in patients with persistent AF at 12-month follow-up in the present randomized trial.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predictors of lack of response to resynchronization therapy.
Ernesto Díaz-Infante,Lluís Mont,Juan Leal,Ignacio García-Bolao,Ignacio Fernández-Lozano,Antonio Hernández-Madrid,Nicasio Pérez-Castellano,Marta Sitges,Ricardo Pavón-Jiménez,Joaquín Barba,Miguel A. Cavero,José L. Moya,Leopoldo Pérez-Isla,Josep Brugada +13 more
TL;DR: Clinical predictors of lack of response to CRT were ischemic heart disease, severe mitral regurgitation, and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter > or =75 mm, and patients with these 3 predictors had a probability response of 27%.
