Journal ArticleDOI
Oxytocin receptor polymorphisms and adult attachment style in patients with depression.
Barbara Costa,Stefano Pini,P Gabelloni,Marianna Abelli,Lisa Lari,Alessandra Cardini,Matteo Muti,Camilla Gesi,Stefano Landi,Silvana Galderisi,Armida Mucci,Antonio Lucacchini,Giovanni B. Cassano,Claudia Martini +13 more
TL;DR: Findings support the involvement of the oxytocinergic system in the mechanisms that underlie depression and specific adult attachment styles.

Oxytocin receptor polymorphisms and adult attachment style in patients with depression
Marianna Abelli,Barbara Costa,Stefano Pini,P Gabelloni,Lisa Lari,Alessandra Cardini,Camilla Gesi,Antonio Lucacchini,Gb Cassano,Claudia Martini +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Discovery of N-hydroxyindole-based inhibitors of human lactate dehydrogenase isoform A (LDH-A) as starvation agents against cancer cells.
Carlotta Granchi,Sarabindu Roy,Chiara Giacomelli,Marco Macchia,Tiziano Tuccinardi,Adriano Martinelli,Mario Lanza,Laura Betti,Gino Giannaccini,Antonio Lucacchini,Nicola Funel,Leticia G. Leon,Leticia G. Leon,Elisa Giovannetti,Godefridus J. Peters,Rahul Palchaudhuri,Emilia C. Calvaresi,Paul J. Hergenrother,Filippo Minutolo +18 more
TL;DR: New and efficient N-hydroxyindole-based inhibitors of LDH-A are discovered, which are isoform-selective (overLDH-B) and competitive with both the substrate (pyruvate) and the cofactor (NADH) and they proved to be particularly effective under hypoxic conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteome analysis of whole saliva: A new tool for rheumatic diseases – the example of Sjögren's syndrome
Laura Giusti,Chiara Baldini,Laura Bazzichi,Federica Ciregia,Ilaria Tonazzini,G. Mascia,Gino Giannaccini,Stefano Bombardieri,Antonio Lucacchini +8 more
TL;DR: The WS protein pattern was altered in pSS patients compared to controls, with a decrease in some of the typical salivary proteins, and a set of differentially expressed proteins were related to acute and chronic inflammation while some others were involved in oxidative stress injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
A relationship between oxytocin and anxiety of romantic attachment
Donatella Marazziti,Bernardo Dell'Osso,Bernardo Dell'Osso,Stefano Baroni,Francesco Mungai,M. Catena,Paola Rucci,Francesco Albanese,Gino Giannaccini,Laura Betti,L. Fabbrini,Paola Italiani,Alessandro Del Debbio,Antonio Lucacchini,Liliana Dell'Osso +14 more
TL;DR: The results showed that attachment anxiety and oxytocin are positively linked in romantic attachment to a statistically significant degree and the authors suggest the hypothesis that this link represents one of the biological processes resulting in those rewarding emotions related to romantic attachment.
