The use of photographic rates to estimate densities of tigers and other cryptic mammals
Chris Carbone,Sarah Christie,K. Conforti,Tim Coulson,N. Franklin,Joshua R. Ginsberg,M. Griffiths,J. Holden,Kae Kawanishi,Margaret F. Kinnaird,R. Laidlaw,Antony J. Lynam,David W. Macdonald,Deborah J. Martyr,Charles McDougal,L. Nath,Timothy G. O'Brien,John Seidensticker,D. J. L. Smith,Melvin E. Sunquist,Ronald Lewis Tilson,W. N. Wan Shahruddin +21 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the number of camera days/tiger photograph correlates with independent estimates of tiger density, a statistic that is particularly useful for estimating the population density of species that are not individually identifiable.
The use of photographic rates to estimate densities of tigers and other cryptic mammals: response to Jennelle, et al
Chris Carbone,Sarah Christie,K. Conforti,Tim Coulson,N. Franklin,Joshua R. Ginsberg,M. Griffiths,J. Holden,Kae Kawanishi,Margaret F. Kinnaird,R. Laidlaw,Antony J. Lynam,David W. Macdonald,Deborah J. Journal ArticleDOI
Near-complete extinction of native small mammal fauna 25 years after forest fragmentation
Luke Gibson,Antony J. Lynam,Corey J. A. Bradshaw,Fangliang He,Fangliang He,David Bickford,David S. Woodruff,Sara Bumrungsri,William F. Laurance +8 more
TL;DR: The rapid loss of native mammals from isolated Thai forests suggests that forest fragments cannot maintain biodiversity, and small fragments are potentially even more vulnerable to biodiversity loss than previously thought.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fake antimalarials in Southeast Asia are a major impediment to malaria control: multinational cross‐sectional survey on the prevalence of fake antimalarials
Arjen M. Dondorp,Paul N. Newton,Paul N. Newton,Mayfong Mayxay,W. Van Damme,Frank Smithuis,Shunmay Yeung,Shunmay Yeung,A. Petit,Antony J. Lynam,Arlyne Johnson,Tran Tinh Hien,Rose McGready,Jj J. Farrar,Jj J. Farrar,Sornchai Looareesuwan,N P Day,N P Day,Michael D. Green,Nicholas J. White,Nicholas J. White +20 more
TL;DR: This study aims to assess the prevalence of counterfeit antimalarial drugs in Southeast (SE) Asia and to establish a database of known and suspected counterfeit drugs in the region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Where and how are roads endangering mammals in Southeast Asia's forests?
Gopalasamy Reuben Clements,Antony J. Lynam,David L. A. Gaveau,Wei Lim Yap,Stanislav Lhota,Miriam Goosem,Susan G. Laurance,William F. Laurance +7 more
TL;DR: This is the first study to identify specific roads threatening endangered mammals in Southeast Asia and propose 10 measures to limit road impacts in the region.
