TL;DR: In this article, a simple dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) for X band frequency operation is proposed, which gives dual band operation in X band and resonates at frequency 8.6 GHz and 10.3 GHz respectively.
Abstract: A simple Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) for X band frequency operation is proposed in this paper. X band is a microwave band lies between frequency range 8 to 12 GHz. In proposed DRA reflector plane is used beneath the microstrip feed line with a small air gap, introduced between feed substrate and reflector plane to reduce the back lobe. Slot coupling is used to excite this DRA. Proposed DRA design gives dual band operation in X band and resonates at frequency 8.6 GHz and 10.3 GHz. Antenna design offers minimum return loss of -20.3 db and -24.5 db at 8.6 GHz and 10.3 GHz respectively. It also offers high front to back ratio (FBR) of 12.35db and 9.83 db at 8.65 GHz and 10.3 GHz respectively. Return loss impedance bandwidth of 390 MHz (4.5%) for Band I and 730MHz (7.3%) for band II is obtained. Simple DRA design with high FBR is proposed here for X band application that shows a total bandwidth of 11.8%. DRA is analysed using Ansoft HFSS based on finite element method. Radiation characteristics of this DRA are observed at resonating frequencies. This DRA is useful at microwave X band application such as satellite communication.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined consumer adoption of a new electronic payment service as mobile banking and the factors influencing the adoption of mobile banking in India, and examined the factors for mobile banking adoption in India.
Abstract: If technological revolution is at its peak, one of the notable sectors of the economy where technology is at it helm of affairs with respect to customer service is BANKING. Over the years, banking has transcended from a traditional brick-and mortar model of customers queuing for services in the banks to modern day banking where banks can be reached at any point for their services. In today's business, technology has been on the predominant indicators of growth and competitiveness. The banking industry today is in the industry of its revolution. Information technology has basically been used under two different avenues in banking. One is communication and connectivity and other is business process. Today, banks have welcomed wireless and mobile technology into their boardroom to offer their customers the freedom to pay bills, planning payments while stuck in traffic jams, to receive updates on the various marketing efforts while present at a party to provide more personal and intimate relationships. This paper examines consumer adoption of a new electronic payment service as mobile banking and the factors influencing the adoption of mobile banking in India.

TL;DR: This paper presents the design of compact slotted rectangular microstrip patch antenna for operates 5 GHz, which targets the frequency band being used in various wireless communication systems, such as satellite communication, radio altimeters etc.
Abstract: This paper presents the design of compact slotted rectangular microstrip patch antenna for operates 5 GHz. The proposed antenna is designed on RT duroid substrate with dielectric constant of 2.2 and fed with 50 ohms microstrip line. Further DGS (Defected Ground Structure) technique is used to increase the gain of the antenna. Bandwidth is enhancing by introducing the slot in the rectangular patch antenna. The characteristics of the proposed antenna have been studied with the help of HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) software. HFSS is a high performance full wave electromagnetic (EM) field simulator. Ansoft HFSS employs the Finite Element Method (FEM). The design targets the frequency band (5.180 – 5.825 GHz) being used in various wireless communication systems, such as satellite communication, radio altimeters etc. The final antenna produced 720MHz bandwidth,1.11 VSWR and 7.27dB gain at frequency 5.39 GHz. General Terms In this paper slotting has to be done to enhance the bandwidth.

TL;DR: This paper explores the various replication strategies, replication in mobile environment, benefits and challenges of optimistic replication in phone applications, and its systematic study has begun only recently.
Abstract: Wireless and mobile communication is an important technology that improves user’s daily life and facilitates the development of some new technology such as electronic commerce and mobile commerce. Replication is a fundamental technique for supporting concurrent work practices in mobile environments. Optimistic replication algorithms allow replica contents to become stale but in a controlled way. In return, they become far more efficient and available than traditional replication algorithms that keep all the replicas consistent, especially when the network and computers are unreliable. The use of optimistic replication has grown explosively due to the proliferation of the use of the Internet and mobile computing devices, but its systematic study has begun only recently. This paper explores the various replication strategies, replication in mobile environment, benefits and challenges of optimistic replication in mobile applications.

TL;DR: This paper illustrates a comparative study of mobile transaction models with their capabilities to support the execution of transaction in connected/disconnected mode and the transaction properties.
Abstract: Mobile computing technology is developing rapidly due to the advantages of information access through mobile devices and the need to retrieve information at remote locations. Improved storage and processing capability of mobile handheld devices and qualitative data services of mobile networks enabled read write transactions, possible in mobile devices. So mobile transactions obtain or retrieve information from a storage device either in connected or disconnected mode. Thus, it is expected to improve data availability while a disconnection. This paper illustrates a comparative study of mobile transaction models with their capabilities to support the execution of transaction in connected/disconnected mode and the transaction properties.

TL;DR: In this paper, a distributed antenna and backhaul system provide network connectivity for a small cell deployment using high-bandwidth, millimeter-wave communications and existing power line infrastructure, rather than building new structures, and installing additional fiber and cable.
Abstract: A distributed antenna and backhaul system provide network connectivity for a small cell deployment. Rather than building new structures, and installing additional fiber and cable, embodiments described herein disclose using high-bandwidth, millimeter-wave communications and existing power line infrastructure. Above ground backhaul connections via power lines and line-of-sight millimeter-wave band signals as well as underground backhaul connections via buried electrical conduits can provide connectivity to the distributed base stations. An overhead millimeter-wave system can also be used to provide backhaul connectivity. Modules can be placed onto existing infrastructure, such as streetlights and utility poles, and the modules can contain base stations and antennas to transmit the millimeter-waves to and from other modules.

TL;DR: In this article, a distributed antenna system is provided that frequency shifts the output of one or more microcells to a 60 GHz or higher frequency range for transmission to a set of distributed antennas.
Abstract: A distributed antenna system is provided that frequency shifts the output of one or more microcells to a 60 GHz or higher frequency range for transmission to a set of distributed antennas. The cellular band outputs of these microcell base station devices are used to modulate a 60 GHz (or higher) carrier wave, yielding a group of subcarriers on the 60 GHz carrier wave. This group will then be transmitted in the air via analog microwave RF unit, after which it can be repeated or radiated to the surrounding area. The repeaters amplify the signal and resend it on the air again toward the next repeater. In places where a microcell is required, the 60 GHz signal is shifted in frequency back to its original frequency (e.g., the 1.9 GHz cellular band) and radiated locally to nearby mobile devices.
