Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro and in vivo pharmacological profile of AS057278, a selective d-amino acid oxidase inhibitor with potential anti-psychotic properties.
Tiziana Adage,Anne-Cécile Trillat,Anna Quattropani,Dominique Perrin,Laurent Cavarec,Jeffrey P. Shaw,Oxana Guerassimenko,Claudio Giachetti,Beatrice Greco,Ilya Chumakov,Serge Halazy,Arthur Roach,Paola Zaratin +12 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that AS057278 has the potential to anti-psychotic action toward both cognitive and positive symptoms of schizophrenia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Safinamide reduces dyskinesias and prolongs L-DOPA antiparkinsonian effect in parkinsonian monkeys.
TL;DR: Savinamide and amantadine reduced LID in this primate model while only safinamide increased the duration of the antiparkinsonian response of l-DOPA, suggesting thatsafinamide may have effects on LID that are pharmacologically distinct from amantADine, which is in current clinical use for control of LID.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemical inducers and transcriptional markers of oligodendrocyte differentiation
Lara Joubert,Isabelle Foucault,Yves Sagot,Lilia Bernasconi,François Duval,Chantal Alliod,Marie-José Frossard,Rosanna Pescini Gobert,Marie-Laure Curchod,Catherine Salvat,Anthony Nichols,Sandrine Pouly,Christian Rommel,Arthur Roach,Rob Hooft van Huijsduijnen +14 more
TL;DR: It is confirmed the view that ErbB2 is a natural signaling component that is required for OPC proliferation, whereas Erb B2 inhibition or genetic knockdown results in OPC differentiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tremorolytic effects of safinamide in animal models of drug-induced parkinsonian tremor
Samantha J. Podurgiel,Lyndsey E. Collins-Praino,Samantha E. Yohn,Patrick A. Randall,Arthur Roach,Christophe Lobianco,John D. Salamone +6 more
TL;DR: The results of this study support the use of safinamide as a treatment for parkinsonian tremor by significantly reducing the number of tremulous jaw movements induced by galantamine, pilocarpine, and pimozide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Beneficial effects of r-h-CLU on disease severity in different animal models of peripheral neuropathies
G. Dati,Angelo Quattrini,Lilia Bernasconi,MC Malaguti,Bruno Antonsson,Ferdinando Nicoletti,Chantal Alliod,R. Di Marco,Yves Sagot,Pierre-Alain Vitte,A. Hiver,Beatrice Greco,Arthur Roach,Paola Zaratin +13 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that recombinant human clusterin is capable of ameliorating clinical, neurophysiological and pathological signs in models of peripheral neuropathies.
