Journal ArticleDOI
Radiation-induced cross-linking of polyvinylpyrrolidone-poly(acrylic acid) complexes
TL;DR: In this article, high-molecular-weight polyvinylpyrrolidone and oligomeric poly(acrylic acid) as substrates were used to obtain interpolymer complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogels of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) synthesized by photoinduced crosslinking of homopolymers
TL;DR: In this article, a method of covalent crosslinking between polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and poly(acrylic acid) resulting in hydrogels has been developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogels of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) synthesized by radiation-induced crosslinking of homopolymers
TL;DR: In this article, electron-beam-induced irradiation at pH close to pKa of carboxylic groups promoted the formation of hydrogen bonds between the PAA and PVP segments within the crosslinked structure and caused interpolymer complex formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of hydrogels by radiation‐induced cross‐linking of Pluronic® F127 in N2O‐saturated aqueous solution
Piotr Ulanski,Wioletta Pawlowska,Slawomir Kadlubowski,Slawomir Kadlubowski,Artur Henke,Ronny Gottlieb,Karl-Friedrich Arndt,Lev Bromberg,T. Alan Hatton,Janusz M. Rosiak +9 more
TL;DR: Pluronic F127, a tri-block copolymer of poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(propylene oxide) of a nominal formula EO100-PO65-EO100, when subjected to the action of ionizing radiation in oxygen-free, N2O-saturated aqueous solution, undergoes predominantly cross-linking by intermolecular recombination of polymer-derived radicals as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Structure and Aggregation of Hydrogen‐Bonded Interpolymer Complexes of Poly(acrylic acid) With Poly(N‐vinylpyrrolidone) in Dilute Aqueous Solution
Artur Henke,Slawomir Kadlubowski,Marian Wolszczak,Piotr Ulanski,Volodymyr Boyko,Thomas Schmidt,Karl-Friedrich Arndt,Janusz M. Rosiak +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the hydrogen-bonded complexation between high-molecular-weight poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) and poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) with weight-average molar weights between 0.9 and 50 kDa, is studied in dilute, salt-free aqueous solution.
