Journal ArticleDOI
Lactobacillus rhamnosus attenuates bone loss and maintains bone health by skewing Treg-Th17 cell balance in Ovx mice
Leena Sapra,Hamid Y. Dar,Hamid Y. Dar,Asha Bhardwaj,Amit Pandey,Surbhi Kumari,Zaffar Azam,Zaffar Azam,Vishu Upmanyu,Aleena Anwar,Prashant Shukla,Pradyumna Kumar Mishra,Chaman Saini,Bhupendra Verma,Rupesh K. Srivastava +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of probiotic-Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LR) on bone-health in the postmenopausal mice model was examined and it was shown that LR inhibits osteoclastogenesis and modulates differentiation of Treg-Th17 cells under in vitro conditions.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus attenuates bone loss and maintains bone health by skewing Treg-Th17 cell balance in Ovx mice
Leena Sapra,Hamid Y. Dar,Amit Pandey,Surbhi Kumari,Zaffar Azam,Asha Bhardwaj,Prashant Shukla,Pradyumna K. Mishar,Bhupendra Verma,Rupesh K. Srivastava +9 more
TL;DR: The osteoprotective role of LR is established for the first time on bone-health, thus highlighting the potential of LR in the treatment and management of various bone related diseases including osteoporosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
COVID-19: Immunology, Immunopathogenesis and Potential Therapies.
Asha Bhardwaj,Leena Sapra,Chaman Saini,Zaffar Azam,Pradyumna Kumar Mishra,Bhupendra Verma,Gyan C. Mishra,Rupesh K. Srivastava +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors exhaustively discuss the sequential key immunological events that occur during SARS-CoV-2 infection and are involved in the immunopathogenesis of COVID-19.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phytotherapy for treatment of cytokine storm in COVID-19.
Leena Sapra,Asha Bhardwaj,Zaffar Azam,Deekhsha Madhry,Bhupendra Verma,Sumit Rathore,Rupesh K. Srivastava +6 more
TL;DR: Experimental validation of the effectiveness of these natural compounds to prevent or reduce the cytokine storm might be beneficial as an adjunct treatment of SARS-CoV-2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bifidobacterium longum Ameliorates Ovariectomy-Induced Bone Loss via Enhancing Anti-Osteoclastogenic and Immunomodulatory Potential of Regulatory B Cells (Bregs)
Leena Sapra,Niti Shokeen,Konica Porwal,Chaman Saini,Asha Bhardwaj,Mary Mathew,Pradyumna Kumar Mishra,Naibedya Chattopadhyay,Hamid Y. Dar,Bhupendra Verma,Rupesh K. Srivastava +10 more
TL;DR: The findings establish a novel osteo-protective and immunomodulatory potential of BL in augmenting bone health under osteoporotic conditions.
