Dorothy Leonard-Barton warns readers upfront that her new book, "Wellsprings of Knowledge: Building and Sustaining the Sources of Innovation," is not a quick read. Indeed it is not, though the author, a Harvard Business School professor, tries hard to soften a knot of strategy research with true-life examples from several technology companies. Unfortunately, business books tend to be like Arnold Schwarzenegger movies: the special effects and twists are a lot more important than the basic plot, which doesn't change much.

An important open problem in the area of Traitor Tracing is designing a scheme with constant expansion of the size of keys (users' keys and the encryption key) and of the size of ciphertexts with respect to the size of the plaintext. This problem is known from the introduction of Traitor Tracing by Chor, Fiat and Naor. We refer to such schemes as traitor tracing with constant transmission rate. Here we present a general methodology and two protocol constructions that result in the first two public-key traitor tracing schemes with constant transmission rate in settings where plaintexts can be calibrated to be sufficiently large. Our starting point is the notion of copyrighted function which was presented by Naccache, Shamir and Stern. We first solve the open problem of discrete-log-based and public-key-based copyrighted function. Then, we observe the simple yet crucial relation between (public-key) copyrighted encryption and (public-key) traitor tracing, which we exploit by introducing a generic design paradigm for designing constant transmission rate traitor tracing schemes based on copyrighted encryption functions. Our first scheme achieves the same expansion efficiency as regular ElGamal encryption. The second scheme introduces only a slightly larger (constant) overhead, however, it additionally achieves efficient black-box traitor tracing (against any pirate construction).

This work proposes a processor architecture for elliptic curves cryptosystems over fields GF(2 m ) This is a scalable architecture in terms of area and speed that exploits the abilities of reconfigurable hardware to deliver optimized circuitry for different elliptic curves and finite fields The main features of this architecture are the use of an optimized bit-parallel squarer, a digit-serial multiplier, and two programmable processors Through reconfiguration, the squarer and the multiplier architectures can be optimized for any field order or field polynomial The multiplier performance can also be scaled according to system's needs Our results show that implementations of this architecture executing the projective coordinates version of the Montgomery scalar multiplication algorithm can compute elliptic curve scalar multiplications with arbitrary points in 021 msec in the field GF(2 167 ) A result that is at least 19 times faster than documented hardware implementations and at least 37 times faster than documented software implementations

Without any doubt, Knowledge Management (KM) does offer the way on how to exploit intellectual capitals in business organizations. However, the KM principles can also be implemented in other types of organization such as the Higher Learning Institutions (HLI). One way to exploit KM is by implementing the KM System (KMS). As we all concern, knowledge is everywhere and how far it has been captured, collaborated and managed systematically especially in public higher learning institutions is unknown. Further more, how far KMS have been giving benefits to the students in PHLI is something that never been revealed. Besides that, the general framework of KMS, even though accepted but there are some unidentified features that has not been discovered. By adding these unidentified features, it will make the existing framework of KMS more effective. This study is mainly aimed to achieve three main objectives. First is to analyze respondents’ perception of current KMS implementation in PHLI in Klang Valley, second is to analyze the current state acceptance and implementation of KMS framework in PHLI in Klang Valley, and third is to provide suggestions for what should be included in a general KMS framework for PHLI. These people consist of academic staffs, non-academic staffs and students. Meanwhile, the works involve teaching and learning, research and development (RnD), and services. This study applied the survey method, where questionnaires were distributed to six PHLIs in Klang Valley and later were analyzed using statistical analysis. Most of respondents perceived KMS as a new way to add value. The results indicated that the current state of KMS framework implementation in PHLI has been accepted. However, the finding also discovered the lacking of awareness to the current KMS implementation. This causes some of the applications, technological systems and audit, which are used in KMS, were not fully utilized and realized by the users. The modification on the existing KMS framework emphasizes more on KMS awareness and its roles. The finding has also shows that the incentives and rewards do play significant roles in KMS implementation.

To overcome this problem, face recognition using deep learning technique was introduced and Internet of Thing (IoT) also been used to perform efficient door access control system. Raspberry Pi is a programmable small computer board and used as the main controller for face recognition, youth system and locking system. The camera is used to capture images of the person in front of the door. IoT system enables the user to control the door access.

The IEEE 802.16 standard was designed to provide quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees for various classes of traffic with diverse QoS requirements. Packet-scheduling algorithms play a critical role in providing such guarantees. Weighted round robin (WRR) is one of the most commonly used scheduling algorithms, because of its simplicity and low computational overhead. However, it suffers from performance degradation under bursty traffic conditions because of the static weights used to determine packet transmissions. We propose a new packet-scheduling discipline for downlink traffic in 802.16 networks to improve performance in such situations. It dynamically determines the weight of each queue in the various classes based on the current traffic characteristics using the static WRR weight at the beginning of each base station round. The goal is not only to reduce the average delay and packet loss but also to improve average throughput. Simulations are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm load-aware weighted round robin (LAWRR), and show that it reduces average delay and packet loss, as well as it improves average throughput compared with WRR. The effectiveness of LAWRR running under fixed buffer sizes is also investigated.

A load-aware weighted round-robin algorithm for IEEE 802.16 networks

This paper describes the design and fabrication of Sierpinski carpet fractal antenna. The investigation took place between ranges of 1GHz to 10 GHz. The fabricated Sierpinski carpet fractal antenna proves that it is capable to create multiband frequencies. There are six resonant frequencies appeared at 1.63 GHz, 4.99 GHz, 5.45 GHz, 7.68 GHz, 8.68 GHz and 9.99 GHz for second iteration. The radiation pattern shows the existing of side lobes especially at higher frequency. As the iteration increased, HPBW is still maintaining.
