Probing exotic phenomena at the interface of nuclear and particle physics with the electric dipole moments of diamagnetic atoms: A unique window to hadronic and semi-leptonic CP violation

TL;DR: In this paper, the current status of electric dipole moments of diamagnetic atoms which involves the synergy between atomic experiments and three different theoretical areas, i.e. particle, nuclear and atomic, is reviewed.

Atomic parity nonconservation in Ra

TL;DR: In this paper, the suitability of the 7s (2)S(1/2) 6d(2)D(3/2)-transition in singly ionized radium to measure parity nonconservation was analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relativistic coupled-cluster theory of atomic parity nonconservation: application to 137Ba+.

TL;DR: The result of this ab initio calculation of the 6s2S1/2-->5d2D3/2 parity nonconserving electric dipole transition amplitude in 137Ba+ based on relativistic coupled-cluster theory would provide an independent nonaccelerator test of the standard model of particle physics.
