Journal ArticleDOI
15 Feb 2019-Energy
TL;DR: In this paper, the possibility and limitation of lean burn in a motorcycle engine were explored, from the aspect of exhaust emissions, by experimental measurements and combined simulations on a twin-spark motorcycle gasoline engine under wide range of operating conditions.

Journal ArticleDOI
15 Apr 2021-Fuel
TL;DR: In this paper, the impacts of the key operating and design parameters were investigated on the CCV of the high compression ratio SI natural gas engine under lean mixture condition. And the results indicated that the in-cylinder pressure distribution tended to be concentrated, the number of partial burning or incomplete combustion cycles also reduced with increasing the engine speed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the injection strategies on the cycle-to-cycle variations of a turbocharged DISI engine fueled with ethanol and gasoline blend by using single injection (SI) and two-stagnation injection strategy (TSIS) modes, respectively.

15 Nov 2021-Fuel
TL;DR: In this article, a comparative study on the effects of energy substitution ratio (ESR) on the combustion characteristics and performance of a dual fuel engine fueled with diesel/methanol, diesel/ethanol and diesel/n-butanol was conducted experimentally.

TL;DR: The effects of the twin-spark plug arrangement on flame, combustion and emissions of a medium compression ratio direct injection methanol engine were numerically investigated in this paper, and the results showed that at approximately A (ratio of distance of diameter of twin spark plug and cylinder diameter) = 065, the burning and exothermic were the most reasonable compared to other twin- spark plug locations.
