TL;DR: In this article, a new coordination polymer was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, namely [Zn(Bpy)(DHTA)0.5]n (DHTA = 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-terephthalic acid tetra-anion, Bpy = 2.2'-bipyridine).
Abstract: A new coordination polymer was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, namely [Zn(Bpy)(DHTA)0.5]n (DHTA = 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-terephthalic acid tetra-anion, Bpy = 2,2’-bipyridine). There is one Zn(II) ion in [Zn(Bpy)(DHTA)0.5]n, the metal center Zn(II) is five-coordinated and forms a slightly twisted square pyramidal geometry. It remains stable at temperatures as high as 380 °C, and a sharp drop in weight is found in the temperature range of 380–570 °C. The calculation results show that the residual is zinc(II) oxide (ZnO). The emission peak of the complex appears at 365 nm (λex = 366 nm). The photoluminescence results suggest that the complex has potential as a new luminescence material. At the same time, in luminescence explorations experiments, the complex showed a high degree of selectivity and sensitivity to organic solvents, acetone (DMK) and metal ions (Fe3+).

TL;DR: In this paper , a new coordination polymer, [Co(SDA)(TBZH)(H2O)]n (1, SDA = trans-4,4'-stilbenedicarboxylic acid tetra-anion, TBZH = thiabendazole) has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition.
Abstract: Abstract A new coordination polymer, [Co(SDA)(TBZH)(H2O)]n (1, SDA = trans-4,4'-stilbenedicarboxylic acid tetra-anion, TBZH = thiabendazole) has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition. The structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction, thermal gravimetric analysis (TG), infrared spectrum (IR) and Magnetic properties. The structure of 1 contains one Co(II), the metal center Co(II) is five-coordinated and through the SDA, it bridged an infinite one-dimension chain. In TG curve, there are three weight loss steps and the residual may be CoO. The static and dynamic magnetic properties of the high-spin Co(II) polymer 1 were measured, there is no SCM properties exhibited by the polymer.

TL;DR: In this article, a novel strategy was demonstrated to fabricate a luminescent lanthanide functionalized MOF by encapsulating Eu3+ cations in the pores of MIL-53-COOH (Al) nanocrystals.
Abstract: A novel strategy was demonstrated to fabricate a luminescent lanthanide functionalized MOF by encapsulating Eu3+ cations in the pores of MIL-53–COOH (Al) nanocrystals. The Eu3+ incorporated sample shows excellent luminescence and good fluorescence stability in water due to the sensitization and protection provided by the parented framework. Subsequently, Eu3+ incorporated nanocrystals were developed as a highly selective and sensitive probe for detection of Fe3+ in aqueous solutions. In addition, the possible sensing mechanism based on cation exchange between Fe3+ and the framework Al3+ in MIL-53–COOH (Al) was discussed in detail. This is the first example for detecting Fe3+ in aqueous solutions based on a lanthanide functionalized nanoscale MOF. The good fluorescence stability in an aqueous environment, the low detection limit and the broad linear range, together with the nanoscale nature of this probe suggest it has potential for intracellular sensing and imaging of Fe3+.

TL;DR: An in-depth review on photoconductive and photoluminescent properties of conductive MOFs together with their corresponding applications in solar cells, luminescent sensing, light emitting, and so forth is provided.
Abstract: Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of hybrid materials with many promising applications. In recent years, lots of investigations have been oriented toward applications of MOFs in electronic and photoelectronic devices. While many high-quality reviews have focused on synthesis and mechanisms of electrically conductive MOFs, few of them focus on their photophysical properties. Herein, we provide an in-depth review on photoconductive and photoluminescent properties of conductive MOFs together with their corresponding applications in solar cells, luminescent sensing, light emitting, and so forth. For integration of MOFs with practical devices, recent advances in fabrication of photoactive MOF thin films are also summarized. Highlights: 1 An overview on photophysical properties of conductive metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) including photoconductivity and photoluminescence is provided.2 Miscellaneous applications of MOFs with photophysical properties are discussed.3 Recent advances in integration of photoactive MOFs with practical devices are summarized.
