Predictors of future suicide attempt among adolescents with suicidal thoughts or non-suicidal self-harm: a population-based birth cohort study
Becky Mars,Becky Mars,Jon Heron,E. David Klonsky,Paul Moran,Paul Moran,Rory C. O'Connor,Kate Tilling,Kate Tilling,Paul Wilkinson,David Gunnell,David Gunnell +11 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that asking about substance use, non-suicidal self-harm, sleep, personality traits, and exposure to self- Harm could inform risk assessments, and might help clinicians to identify which adolescents are at greatest risk of attempting suicide in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI

Becky Mars,Jon Heron,Catherine Crane,Keith Hawton,Glyn Lewis,John Macleod,Kate Tilling,David Gunnell +7 more

Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Differences in risk factors for self-harm with and without suicidal intent: Findings from the ALSPAC cohort
Becky Mars,Jon Heron,Catherine Crane,Keith Hawton,Judi Kidger,Glyn Lewis,John Macleod,Kate Tilling,David Gunnell +8 more
TL;DR: Self-harm with and without suicidal intent are overlapping behaviours but with some distinct characteristics, indicating the importance of fully exploring vulnerability factors, motivations, and intentions in adolescents who self harm.
Journal ArticleDOI
What distinguishes adolescents with suicidal thoughts from those who have attempted suicide? A population-based birth cohort study.
Becky Mars,Jon Heron,E. David Klonsky,Paul Moran,Paul Moran,Rory C. O'Connor,Kate Tilling,Kate Tilling,Paul Wilkinson,Paul Wilkinson,David Gunnell,David Gunnell +11 more
