Journal ArticleDOI

Single-wire transmission lines at terahertz frequencies

TL;DR: In this paper, an original way to excite surface waves on a single-wire transmission line was proposed, which is very well suited for the terahertz frequency range and allows the investigation of biological entities with high spatial resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-invasive microwave radiometry thermometry

TL;DR: The basic principles, measurement methods and limitations of near-field microwave radiometry and radiometric imaging are described and the results of clinical studies are reviewed, and it reviews recent progress.
Journal ArticleDOI

Planar excitation of Goubau Transmission Lines for THz BioMEMS

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed and demonstrated an original planar excitation of a single wire transmission line also known as Goubau-Line (G-Line) based on an electromagnetic transition between a coplanar waveguide and the desired G-line in a planar configuration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and Multi-Characterization of Plasma Polymerized Allylamine Films

TL;DR: In this paper, a radiofrequency glow discharge plasma reactor using a continuous wave mode and varying the discharge power from 15 to 125 W was used for the deposition of polymerized allylamine (ppAA) films.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cold plasma functionalized TeraHertz BioMEMS for enzyme reaction analysis.

TL;DR: Preliminary results showed that sub-THz transmission measurements are able to discriminate different solid films, various aqueous media and exhibit specific transmission behavior for the enzyme hydrolysis reaction in the spectral range 0.06-0.11 THz.
