The purpose of this study is to examine how significant Laravel framework on the website can be used to strengthen the brand image of Higher-Education Institutions (HEI). Laravel is currently known as the best programming tool for PHP-based web development that is very interactive and intuitive. The methodology used was literature study, observation, interviews, questionnaires, as well as the collection of related documents. The study was conducted by a case study on the website of one Private University in Bandung. Validity test was performed by Alpha Cronbach formula; reliability tests by Spearman's correlation and Man Whitney test were performed on the questionnaire data to analyze the significance of Laravel framework towards each brand image indicator. The results showed that the application of Laravel framework on the new website could support the brand image of HEIs significantly on all indicators of brand image of Reputation, Recognition, Affinity, and Brand Loyalty when compared to the old web without Laravel framework. The implication of the research result is due to the Application of Laravel framework has a broad function to support quality of the new website. The results can be used as useful information for web development strategies to strengthen the brand image of the HEI.

Impact of University Website Usability on Satisfaction: A Structural Equation Modelling Approach:

An approach to designing multiple waveforms in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is presented so that the full capacity of the transmitting and receiving antennas can be utilized at the same time. On the transmitter-side, the antenna elements are classified into different groups according to their specific signal. On the receive-side, we use a multi-resolution analysis to retrieve the signals of each channel. Due to the superior characteristics of the FMCW signal, especially in terms of sampling, in the proposed approach, an FMCW radar is considered. To adapt the introduced system to multistatic near-field imaging, we use more accurate models than the effective phase center principle. This contributes to the successful reconstruction of the scene image by efficient Fourier-based image reconstruction methods. The performance of the proposed approach is confirmed by numerical simulations.

A multi-resolution analysis-based approach to accelerate data acquisition for near-field MIMO millimeter-wave imaging

This study aims to design a proposed framework for evaluating university websites.,This study is an exploratory mixed research. It was an applied research in terms of objective and used the Delphi technique and systematic review and meta-analysis approaches. Data collection tools were done through library studies, Delphi checklist and observation. The statistical population of the research comprised 17 experts who are designers of university websites and 20 Iranian university websites selected from the Webometrics website. The statistical data were analyzed using fuzzy methods, descriptive and inferential statistical methods and the SWARA weighting method. Also, the statistical analysis software SPSS 20 and Excel 2016, TOPSIS engineering software and MAXQDA were used.,Findings indicated that the dimensions of the designed proposed framework in order of their weights are credibility (0.130), reliability (0.125), usability (0.120), website design (0.110), functionality (0.104), content (0.100), page design (0.0922), efficiency (0.082), Webometrics (0.070) and systematic evaluation (0.067). Mebrate’s (2010) framework had the highest overlap (mean = 74.65), and Webometrics (mean = 18.5) had the least overlap and dependency (mean = 19) with the proposed framework. In the evaluation of the 20 university websites of Iran selected from the Webometrics site, the University of Tehran was ranked first with a score of 82.7 and Shiraz University was ranked last with a score of 75.,This study provides a comprehensive proposed framework for evaluating university websites that eliminates the shortcomings of all models, frameworks and methods of university website evaluation that focused only on one or more dimensions of university websites.

Presenting a proposed framework for evaluating university websites

Websites of universities have become vital in evaluating universities' performance. These websites may face some weaknesses, including poor design, insecure system, bad performance or usability. There is a limited research work that evaluates the universities' websites performance. In this paper, a new approach is proposed in order to evaluate the Jordanian universities based on data envelopment analysis. The dataset is collected from 23 Jordanian universities' websites by using four tools to extract a set of vital features from each website. We applied data envelopment analysis to provide decision makers of universities a plan to improve the websites. In this paper, the websites' efficiencies are evaluated in three viewpoints including usability, design, and performance. The results of the usability show that 18 websites are usable while 5 websites are not usable, while the results of the design show that only 7 websites have good design. Finally, the websites' performances are classified into efficient or inefficient. The result shows that among 23 universities, there are 4 websites are rated as efficient and 19 sites are rated as inefficient.

Evaluating Jordanian universities' websites based on data envelopment analysis

IoT has become very imperative and significant since it can be incorporated to almost everything nowadays such as smart cities, smart agriculture, smart homes, and so on. Microstrip patch antenna (MPA) is very easy to build and has low production cost which makes it a very good choice in large number of applications. These applications include wireless LAN, mobile satellite communication, and global system for mobile communication, missile, and so on. All these applications owe to certain advantages of microstrip patch antenna such as low profile, low cost, low mass, and very easy to integrate. The resonance of these antennas can be achieved at any frequency by varying various antenna parameters and shape of the patch. The antennas having different shapes of patches have been discussed in this paper. As the technology is growing at a very fast rate, the application of antenna in various fields plays a very crucial role. The antenna has widespread types, and each type has a particular type of application. Power consumption is reduced with the use of microstrip patch antenna. The specific IoT application defines the design and choice of antenna which depends upon various frequency bands and the transmission strength. The paper highlights various antennas which are used very frequently in the applications of IoT along with their frequency bands.

Comprehensive Study on Internet of Things (IoT) and Design Considerations of Various Microstrip Patch Antennas for IoT Applications

For the computer vision, fast and accurate detection of an object is challenging. Detecting a circular object in a cluttered image has always been a problem. Circular object detections has wide applications in the field of biometrics, automobile and other mechanical production industries. The traditional existing circular object detection are maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and voting-based methods. The voting based methods have high memory requirements and more computational complexity while these are less sensitive to noise. MLE approach consumes less memory and are efficient in terms of computational complexity but these approaches are more prone to noise. This paper proposes modified Hough transform based algorithm for detection of circular objects within other shaped objects also it can identify circular objects on basis of diameter. The proposed algorithm worked efficiently and detected the circular objects on basis of diameters with very less computational time and less memory consumption.

An Algorithm to Recognize and Classify Circular Objects from Image on Basis of Their Radius

Usability evaluation of a website is a key element in identifying the areas where the end-users might experience problems while interacting with it. The usability parameter has a great impact on the performance of a website, an organization's image, user satisfaction, and their intention to revisit the site. In the recent past, there has been a tremendous increase in the use of websites for seeking requisite information about admission to various courses offered by higher education institutions. There has been a lack of an effective and efficient set of heuristics that can be used to evaluate the usability of these education institution websites. The present study differs from earlier studies by providing a new set of 43 usability heuristics and categorizing them into eight distinct factors on the basis of their empirical validation. These eight identified factors exhibit strong psychometric properties and are ease of navigation, design quality, information architecture, credibility, functionality quality, content quality, simplicity, and learnability. The findings of this study are highly useful for the website designers and evaluators of higher education institutions' websites, who are concerned with evaluating and improving the usability of these websites. The findings of this study have theoretical as well as practical implications.

A Set of Usability Heuristics and Design Recommendations for Higher Education Institutions' Websites

Today, education has emerged as a major area of commercial activities. The access to various University websites through Internet has opened up new opportunities for the beneficiaries. The creation of these websites fully serves the purpose of educational institutions in advancing and achieving their goals. The varied information made available on these websites and the minimum transaction response time to address the queries of end-users can go a long way to influence their decision in selecting a particular course and an institution. The issue assumes greater significance especially in a developing country like India where a website development and deployment activity is primarily facing the shortage of formalized website design techniques and testing procedures. The performance of most of the University websites is reasonably well, but when accessed by only a few concurrent users. Thus, the aim of this study is to analyze and compare the scalability and performance of selected University websites of Punjab (India) by means of load testing. Simulation of realistic users’ behavior is achieved through LoadRunner, a software tool for performance testing. Of all the University websites under study, on the basis of their scalability and performance, it has been found that the websites of Deemed and Central universities are the most and least efficient respectively. The findings of this study can be of great significance for the higher educational institutions in improving the performance quality of their websites resulting into their better ranking and satisfaction of the stakeholders. The paper also outlines the scope for further research in the area under study.

Scalability and Performance of Selected Websites of Universities: An Analytical Study of Punjab (India)

Objectives: In this globalized competitive world, websites have become so important that an academic institution cannot think of surviving for a long time without an appropriately designed and engineered website. Therefore, the key objective of this study was to evaluate the internal quality aspects of some selected universities’ websites of Punjab, northern state of India. Methods/Statistical Analysis: For the sample selection of universities, stratified random sampling was used by categorizing all the universities’ websites of Punjab into four groups such as State, Private, Deemed, or Central universities on the basis of their status. For the measurement of website’s internal quality attributes such as load time, total size of web page, requests per content type during loading, HTML check errors and broken links which cannot be perceived by users otherwise, three web testing tools such as W3C validator, Web Page Test and Selenium were used in this study. Findings: The results obtained in this study shows that the efficiency/performance of Lovely University’ website is the best among the websites of other universities considered in this study. This particular website which represents a private university takes the least download time. Minimum number of HTML errors and broken links were found on this website as compared to other websites. It shows that web designers and administration of private universities are utmost concerned regarding their website quality. Application/Improvements: By improving the internal quality parameters of websites considered in this study, website’s visibility in search engines can be improved which is an imperative aspect for high traffic rank.
