Journal ArticleDOI
A mixed-pH dual-electrolyte microfluidic aluminum–air cell with high performance
TL;DR: In this article, a mixed-pH media aluminum-air cell was developed, which incorporates the advantages of the trivalence of aluminum and mixed pH thermodynamics, and achieved an open circuit potential of 2.2V and a maximum power density of 176mW cm −2, which are respectively 37.5% and 104.6% higher than conventional single alkaline aluminum-airs under similar conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Hydrogel Template Synthesis of TiO2 Nanoparticles for Aluminium-ion Batteries ☆
TL;DR: Titanium dioxide nanoparticles were obtained by using poly-acrylic acid gel in a two-step synthesis method at room temperature using titanium (IV) chloride as titanium source as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
A high specific capacity membraneless aluminum-air cell operated with an inorganic/organic hybrid electrolyte
TL;DR: In this paper, a microfluidic aluminum-air cell working with KOH methanol-based anolyte was developed in order to overcome the self-discharge issue of aluminum.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Low-Cost Mechanically Rechargeable Aluminum–Air Cell for Energy Conversion Using Low-Grade Aluminum Foil
Binbin Chen,Dennis Y.C. Leung +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Polymeric Templating Synthesis of Anatase TiO2 Nanoparticles from Low‐Cost Inorganic Titanium Sources
Manuel Ojeda,D. Kishore Kumar,Binbin Chen,Jin Xuan,M. Mercedes Maroto-Valer,Dennis Y.C. Leung,Huizhi Wang +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a novel facile and cost-effective synthesis method for anatase TiO2 nanoparticles has been developed by using poly-acrylic acid hydrogel as template at room temperature.
