Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared matrix-isolation and theoretical studies of the reactions of ferrocene with ozone.

TL;DR: The reactions between ferrocene and ozone were studied using low-temperature matrix-isolation techniques coupled with theoretical density functional theory (DFT) calculations and strong evidence for a surface-catalyzed thermal reaction was observed in merged-jet experiments wherein the gases were premixed before deposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Matrix Isolation and ab Initio Study of 1:1 Hydrogen-Bonded Complexes of H2O2 with NH3 and N(CH3)3

TL;DR: In this article, the 1:1 hydrogen-bonded complexes between H2O2 and the bases NH3 and N(CH3)3 were characterized using matrix isolation infrared spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Matrix isolation study of the reactions of trimethylaluminum with ammonia

TL;DR: In this article, the initial and subsequent reaction products arising from the merged jet copyrolysis of (CH 3 ) 3 Al with NH 3 followed by trapping into argon matrices have been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The infrared spectra and theoretical calculations of frequencies of fac-tricarbonyl octahedral complexes of manganese(I).

TL;DR: The carbonyl stretching frequencies in the infrared spectra of 38 fac-tricarbonyl octahedral complexes of manganese(I) prepared in this laboratory were determined and theoretical calculations made it possible to distinguish between the three stretching modes and to make unambiguous assignments of appropriate symmetry species to each.
