Journal ArticleDOI

A cleavage method which minimizes side reactions following Fmoc solid phase peptide synthesis.

TL;DR: Synthesis and cleavage of 10 peptides demonstrated the complementarity of Fmoc chemistry with Reagent K for efficient synthesis of complex peptides and assessed the relative effectiveness of various scavengers in suppressing side reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and characterization of a fluorogenic substrate selectively hydrolyzed by stromelysin 1 (matrix metalloproteinase-3)

TL;DR: NFF-3 is the first documented synthetic substrate hydrolyzed by only certain members of the MMP family and thus has important application for the discrimination of MMP-3 activity from that of other MMPs.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Cleavage Method which Minimizes Side Reactions Following Fmoc Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis.

TL;DR: In this article, the relative effectiveness of various scavengers in suppressing side-chain deprotection side reactions was evaluated using 9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl (Fmoc) amino acids.
