Abstract: The new coronavirus, called SARS-CoV-2, is a single-stranded RNA virus The main mechanism of entry of the virus in the cells of the hosts is through the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE-2) that acts as a receptor in the epithelial cells of the upper respiratory tract The aim of this research was to describe the epidemiological profile of those affected by COVID-19 in the city of Macapa, Brazil, in addition to calculating the lethality rates by age group, sex and previous morbidity A quantitative analysis was carried out based on confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the municipality of Macapa, with secondary data extracted from the database and aggregated information from the Municipal Health Department The analysis of the epidemiological profile of those affected, the evolution and severity of COVID-19 is important to determine and adapt mitigation strategies and to allow the planning of actions and health care to combat SARS-CoV-2 in Macapa

Perfil epidemiológico e determinante social do COVID-19 em Macapá, Amapá, Amazônia, Brasil

Abstract: No final de dezembro de 2019, em Wuhan, China, surgiu uma nova variedade do Coronavirus, sendo declarado como uma emergencia em saude publica mundial pela Organizacao Mundial da Saude (OMS). O tropismo pelas vias aereas pode dever-se a expressao da enzima conversora de angiotensina 2 (ACE2). Na regiao da Amazonia Legal brasileira, ate 22 de marco de 2020, o Estado do Amazonas apresentou 26 casos confirmados; o Acre 11 casos; o Para 04; Rondonia 03; Roraima, Tocantins, Maranhao e Mato Grosso 02 casos; e o Amapa apenas 01 caso confirmado. Este estudo visa quantificar e analisar os primeiras casos suspeitos e confirmados de COVID-19 em Macapa, Amapa, Amazonia, Brasil. Trata-se de um estudo observacional, retrospectivo e quantitativo, referente ao perfil dos 108 primeiros casos suspeitos notificados em Macapa, entre 13 de marco de 2020 e 21 de marco de 2020, e aos calculos de incidencia de COVID-19 nas 26 capitais brasileiras e Brasilia, Distrito Federal, entre 26 de Fevereiro de 2020 e 26 de Marco de 2020. Os estudos realizados podem revelar um padrao proprio de disseminacao do virus, o que contribuiria para o planejamento e para a implementacao de medidas de controle e de vigilância epidemiologica mais efetivas

Enrollments for Special Education in Technical Vocational Education at Medium Level in the State of Amapá (2015-2018)

Abstract: According to the statistical notes of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anisio Teixeira (Inep), the number of enrollments for Special Education students increased in 2018 by 33.2% compared to 2014 in Brazil. This article aimed to verify the enrollment rate of Special Education (students from special schools, special classes and included) in Technical Education for Secondary Education in the State of Amapa- Brazil (2015-2018). Methodologically, data were collected on the Inep website and bibliographic research, with an approach that involves mixed methods. In the results, there was an increase in enrollment in the courses integrated in the federal network, while in the concomitant and subsequent courses the rate of increase occurred in the state network. On the other hand, in Youth and Adult Education (EJA), in turn, there was only registration of enrollments in the face-to-face federal network. It is concluded that schools need to be prepared to serve the public of special education, so that they can guarantee an inclusive quality education. For this, greater public investments in education in the north of the country are needed. In addition to national and state commitment, in the development of research that can map the theme of special education in its relation to levels, stages and other teaching modalities (such as EJA), respecting the socioeconomic and cultural differences of the Brazilian regions, as well as its possible educational strengths and weaknesses.

Análise de Eficiência Acadêmica dos cursos subsequentes, nas modalidades à distância e presencial, ofertados pelo Instituto Federal do Amapá (2018)

Abstract: The Federal Institutes, created in 2008, are part of the Federal Education System and aim at training citizens to work actively in the world of work. The Subsequent Form, one of the ways in which the High School Technical Courses enable technical training and is intended for students who have already finished high school. The objective of this research was to compare the academic efficiency indexes of the subsequent courses, in the distance and on-site modalities, offered by the Federal Institute of Amapa (IFAP) in 2018. To this end, a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, as to the approach, this study it is quanti-qualitative. The data were accessed on the Nilo Pecanha Platform (plataformanilopecanha.org). It was found that the Academic Efficiency of the Subsequent Technical Courses offered in the Face-to-face modality is greater than that of the Courses offered in the Distance modality. With regard to distance education, because it has lower Academic Efficiency when compared to classroom teaching, it is necessary that the institution develops actions to combat and prevent evasion. In conclusion, the need to foster other studies that investigate the problems related to dropout in Distance Education and that also propose other solutions to minimize dropout rates and raise the Academic Efficiency Index of Subsequent Courses offered in distance education by the Federal Institute of Amapa.

Technical High Level and Undergraduate Courses: Comparison of vacancies and new entrants at the Federal Institute of Amapá, Brazil (2017-2018)

Abstract: O Instituto Federal do Amapa (IFAP) e uma instituicao autarquica educacional com estrutura multicampi. Possui areas de atuacao academica como os cursos de Formacao Inicial e Continuada (FIC) ou Qualificacao profissional; os cursos Tecnicos de nivel medio, abrangendo a forma integrada, forma subsequente e a modalidade de Educacao de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), Graduacao e Pos-graduacao Lato Sensu e Stricto Sensu. O objetivo deste trabalho e fazer um comparativo de vagas e de ingressantes no Instituto Federal do Amapa nos cursos de nivel Medio e de Graduacao entre os anos de 2017 a 2018. A pesquisa possui uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa, e foi realizada com base nos dados informados pela Plataforma Nilo Pecanha, bem como, foi realizada pesquisa bibliografica sobre as producoes academicas mais atuais, referentes a tematica do artigo. Assim como, a investigacao resultou na demonstracao do aumento de ingressantes e de vagas do Ensino Medio, se comparado ao mesmo nivel de ingressantes dos cursos de Nivel Superior do ano de 2018. Alem disso, demonstrou o aumento da oferta da Educacao Profissional Tecnica de Nivel Medio na modalidade subsequente em detrimento a modalidade integrada; tambem avaliou e concluiu que o Campus Macapa (capital) se mantem invicto com o maior numero de ingressantes. No entanto, apresentou decaimento de 2017 para 2018 e por fim, mostrou que o IFAP apresentou um maior numero de ingressantes para cursos de tecnologia.

Metodologia da pesquisa científica

Abstract: A Metodologia Cientifica, mais do que uma disciplina, que em principio desperta a ideia de uma linha puramente teorica, deve ser encarada como um conjunto de procedimentos sistematicos e racionais, base da formacao tanto do estudioso quanto do profissional. Ambos atuam, alem da pratica, no mundo das ideias, ou seja, suas linhas basicas caminham pelo campo teorico, porem, o acumulo do conhecimento cientifico teorico, permite a sua aplicacao pratica no desenvolvimento tecnologico, alem de sua utilizacao nas atividades profissionais. Pode-se afirmar que a pratica nasce da concepcao sobre o que deve ser realizado e qualquer tomada de decisao fundamenta-se naquilo que se afigura como o mais logico, racional, eficiente e eficaz. Desta forma, deve-se encarar a Pesquisa Cientifica e o Metodo Cientifico, que fornece os subsidios para a sua realizacao, como fundamentais para o modelo de sociedade que estamos inseridos. Os alunos devem compreender a Metodologia da Pesquisa Cientifica como um instrumento que deve auxilia a humanidade a encontrar as respostas para os problemas que surgem em nossa vida cotidiana, alem da sua importância para a elaboracao do Trabalho Cientifico, que deve ser apresentado ao final do curso de Pos-Graduacao. Para atingir este objetivo, os alunos deverao produzir um resumo cientifico.

A utilização de fitoterapia no cotidiano de uma população rural (Every day use of phytotherapy in a rural population)

Abstract: The aims of this study are to analyze the use of phytoterapy and the context of its utilization in a rural areapopulation - MG; to identify the herbs used with more frequency and their forms of use; to compare the results of medicinal herbs with that described in literature. Thirty three people were interviewed in 1997. About the phytoterapy herbs known by them 106 different species were quoted, and 60 of them were effectively used in their routine. The transmission of knowledge related to the use of the herbs occurred basically from grandparents to the children. The phytoterapy was used by the population studied with similar purposes described in the literature aiming the prevention and treatment of diseases.
