Journal ArticleDOI
miRNAs in precancerous lesions of the gastrointestinal tract
TL;DR: The upcoming challenge lies in the reliable identification of disease-specific targets of dysregulated miRNAs, to enable miRNA testing in the clinical management of the secondary prevention of gastrointestinal cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
miRNA-mediated TUSC3 deficiency enhances UPR and ERAD to promote metastatic potential of NSCLC.
Young-Jun Jeon,Taewan Kim,Dongju Park,Gerard J. Nuovo,Siyeon Rhee,Pooja Joshi,Bum Kyu Lee,Johan Jeong,Sung-Suk Suh,Jeff E. Grotzke,Sung Hak Kim,Jieun Song,Hosung Sim,Yonghwan Kim,Yong Peng,Yong Peng,Youngtae Jeong,Michela Garofalo,Michela Garofalo,Nicola Zanesi,Jonghwan Kim,Guang Liang,Ichiro Nakano,Peter Cresswell,Patrick Nana-Sinkam,Ri Cui,Ri Cui,Carlo M. Croce +27 more
TL;DR: The authors show that TUSC3 loss mediated by miR-224/-520c promotes NSCLC metastasis where it enhances ATF-6α-dependent UPR and HRD-1 dependent ERAD, which in turn suppress p53-NM23H1/2 tumor suppressor pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
MicroRNAs in cancer: personalizing diagnosis and therapy.
TL;DR: An overview of the current knowledge of miRNA deregulation in solid and hematological malignancies and their application as biomarkers of disease is provided.
Journal Article
Molecular cloning of the chromosomal breakpoint of a B-cell lymphoma with the t(11;14)(q23;q32) translocation.
Yukihiro Akao,Masao Seto,Toshitada Takahashi,Ichiro Kubonishi,Isao Miyoshi,Shinpei Nakazawa,Yoshihide Tsujimoto,Carlo M. Croce,Ryuzo Ueda +8 more
TL;DR: The breakpoint of t(11;14)(q23;q32) chromosome translocation in a B-cell lymphoma line, RC-K8, was cloned, and the DNA segment juxtaposed to the C gamma 2 was proved to be derived from chromosome 11 by somatic cell hybrid study.
