Marynka Ulaszewska,Christoph H. Weinert,Alessia Trimigno,Reto Portmann,Cristina Andres Lacueva,René Badertscher,Lorraine Brennan,Carl Brunius,Achim Bub,Francesco Capozzi,Marta Cialiè Rosso,Chiara Cordero,Hannelore Daniel,Stéphanie Durand,Bjoern Egert,Paola G. Ferrario,Edith J. M. Feskens,Pietro Franceschi,Mar Garcia-Aloy,Franck Giacomoni,Pieter Giesbertz,Raúl González-Domínguez,Kati Hanhineva,Lieselot Hemeryck,Joachim Kopka,Sabine E. Kulling,Rafael Llorach,Claudine Manach,Fulvio Mattivi,Carole Migné,Linda H. Münger,Beate Ott,Gianfranco Picone,Grégory Pimentel,Estelle Pujos-Guillot,Samantha Riccadonna,Manuela J. Rist,Caroline Rombouts,Josep Rubert,Thomas Skurk,Pedapati S. C. Sri Harsha,Lieven Van Meulebroek,Lynn Vanhaecke,Rosa Vázquez-Fresno,David S. Wishart,Guy Vergères +45 more
TL;DR: A methodological description of nutritional metabolomics is provided that reflects on the state-of-the-art techniques used in the laboratories of the Food Biomarker Alliance as well as points of reflections to harmonize this field.
Journal ArticleDOI
1,25(OH)2-vitamin D3 enhances the stimulating effect of leucine and insulin on protein synthesis rate through Akt/PKB and mTOR mediated pathways in murine C2C12 skeletal myotubes.
Jérôme Salles,Jérôme Salles,Audrey Chanet,Audrey Chanet,Christophe Giraudet,Christophe Giraudet,Véronique Patrac,Véronique Patrac,Philippe Pierre,Philippe Pierre,Philippe Pierre,Marion Jourdan,Yvette Luiking,Sjors Verlaan,Carole Migné,Carole Migné,Yves Boirie,Yves Boirie,Stéphane Walrand,Stéphane Walrand +19 more
TL;DR: 1,25(OH)2D3 sensitizes the Akt/mTOR-dependant pathway to the stimulating effect of leucine and insulin, resulting in a further activation of protein synthesis in murine C2C12 skeletal myotubes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Muscle ectopic fat deposition contributes to anabolic resistance in obese sarcopenic old rats through eIF2α activation.
Nicolas Tardif,Nicolas Tardif,Jérôme Salles,Jérôme Salles,Christelle Guillet,Christelle Guillet,Joan Tordjman,Sophie Reggio,Jean-François Landrier,Christophe Giraudet,Christophe Giraudet,Véronique Patrac,Véronique Patrac,Justine Bertrand-Michel,Carole Migné,Carole Migné,Marie-Laure Collin,Marie-Laure Collin,Jean-Michel Chardigny,Jean-Michel Chardigny,Yves Boirie,Yves Boirie,Stéphane Walrand,Stéphane Walrand +23 more
TL;DR: A reduced ability to expand adipose tissues was found in OR, reflecting a lower lipid buffering capacity, and this metabolic change is a potential therapeutic target to counter sarcopenic obesity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chromatin configuration and transcriptional control in human and mouse oocytes.
Faïçal Miyara,Carole Migné,Martine Dumont-Hassan,Alain Le Meur,Paul Cohen-Bacrie,François-Xavier Aubriot,Amélie Glissant,Catherine Nathan,Stéphane Douard,Alexandre Stanovici,Pascale Debey +10 more
TL;DR: Using fluorescence imaging of DNA and of the transcription sites, combined with electron microscopy, it is shown that human oocytes follow size‐dependent changes in chromatin configuration, transcription sites distribution and nuclear ultrastructure that follow those observed in mouse GV oocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Can we trust untargeted metabolomics? Results of the metabo-ring initiative, a large-scale, multi-instrument inter-laboratory study.
Jean-Charles Martin,Mathieu Maillot,Gerard Mazerolles,Alexandre Verdu,Bernard Lyan,Carole Migné,Catherine Defoort,Cécile Canlet,Christophe Junot,Claude Guillou,Claudine Manach,Daniel J. Jacob,Delphine Jouan-Rimbaud Bouveresse,Estelle Paris,Estelle Pujos-Guillot,Fabien Jourdan,Franck Giacomoni,Frédérique Courant,Gaëlle Favé,Gwénaëlle Le Gall,Hubert Chassaigne,Jean-Claude Tabet,Jean-François Martin,Jean-Philippe Antignac,Laetitia Shintu,Marianne Defernez,Mark Philo,Marie-Cécile Alexandre Gouaubau,Marie Josephe Amiot-Carlin,Mathilde Bossis,Mohamed N. Triba,Nathali Stojilkovic,Nathalie Banzet,Roland Molinié,Romain Bott,Sophie Goulitquer,Stefano Caldarelli,Douglas N. Rutledge +37 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, untargeted metabolomics analyses report consistent information within and across instruments of various technologies, even without prior standardisation.
